just built this in survival and it was the most pleasing three hours I have spent in Minecraft. even without shaders it looks astonishing! I didn't time the hours invested in resource collecting, but it took an afternoon almost. for the survival building newbies like me out here, always bring ALL the materials, some packs of dirt or scaffolding and do all the segments at once like Marloe does, it is much easier. thank you so much for the tutorial, Marloe! wishing all the best for you and your channel :D

I built this tower in Realms with my friends and it looks awesome! The only thing we had to change was adding iron bars to the very top part because we were getting bombarded by phantoms at night. Something to keep in mind for anyone who plans to use this build in survival.
I'm replying to myself now in case anyone is reading this in the future, but I just learned that you can use cats to ward off phantoms. Just keep a couple tied to fences at the top part of the tower!
It was really tricky to build in survival once you get to the top but it looks so good and functions so well it also sucks because in the new version for some reason they thought it was necessary to remove the ability to put ladders on trap doors

But most importantly, I had a mental breakdown and went through the 5 stages of grief in world record pace. It was fun building this, I literally changed the stripped oak log to crafting tables so part of the tower was made of crafting tables. Me and my friends call it the crafting table tower.

This has been in my recommendation for like a week but I didn't really bothered to watch it but somehow until this day, out of curiosity I gave it a shot and wow. I'm not just amazed by the build but also on how the tutorial went. It was fast-paced but you can still able to follow it because of how clear the instructions was. Some tutorial vids doesn't really skipped the part where everything is repetitive and that's why it takes too long to watch but your tutorial is everything as well as balance. I actually subscribed!
I've been building this for two days and have just reached the interior what bugs me is in bedrock (I play on mcpe) is that you can't can't ladders on stairs and trapdoors :(

a lot of people are saying that it takes way longer to build in survival, and it does, but if you have the right technique and your dirt blocks in the right places in your base it makes it a lot quicker! awesome base

As I was building this, I noticed a couple of things that could help builders watching future videos: disabling motion blur (so when I pause the video the build looks sharp and I can copy details or use it as reference) and also avoiding moving the camera around a lot (like when pointing out things, which is fine in game or in a stream, but building it's disorienting). As I was building on survival, I had to go back and forth through the video to build by horizontal sections. Using scaffolding inside was good enough, it wasn't as difficult as expected. Great build, thanks a lot for this video! :)
this is in my opinion one of the best bases iv ever seen : easy to get materials, can be built in survival, large farm, you can also add a stable or a little pool for decoration. that's just perfect !
Nice tutorial! I just completed the Tower IN SURVIVAL. Took me 21 hours, what with growing and harvesting trees and mining cobblestone when I ran out. My tower is Dark Oak and Cobblestone, with oak accents and spruce floors. I had to tweak a few things because in Bedrock I cannot Place ladders on trapdoors. I still need an Enchantment Table and I need to travel back to a previous location to tear down and move my Nether Portal. But these things will come with time. I had a lot of resources to start with. Used dirt blocks for scaffolding. There may be one on the roof somewhere still, lol. Thanx for an easy to follow tutorial. You have a new fan. Wish u could see it.
Bro, my little brother watched this video and built the tower, but told me he built it without a tutorial. For a second, I believed him, because he is really creative, when it comes t Minecraft, but it turns out that you are the brilliant mind who taught him how to build it. LOL
just a friendly suggestion here: make it from the bottom up in the tutorial. it is ungodly levels of difficult to do this in survival, even after I've gotten netherite and an elytra and shulkers. I may be on bedrock, but please for the sake of my sanity and hair, do this in a way that allows it to be less of a hassle to place very specific blocks.
Built this in survival, it took me about 2 1/2 hours and it cost 20 levels because i fell from the very top, but it was totally worth it. The Tutorial was very good so even a beginner like me could follow it easily 😁 thanks!
For people playing on the bedrock version, I would recommend using stripped spruce logs in place of the spruce trapdoors you need to place ladders on, far from ideal but it’s a good substitute. Also MASSIVE PROPS to anyone who built this in survival, a 21 minute long tutorial ended up being a day and a half of work
I decided to build it as well, but instead of using oak and spruce, I used jungle and acacia. BTW, love the accent! I believe that accents like yours are really cool and honestly satisfying to hear. (not trying to be weird) It just makes me feel like you are the king of something, because it sounds so royal!

I’m playing on bedrock so I can’t put the ladders on trapdoors, so I used stripped spruce logs instead. In the end it was a lovely build, I built it on my realm with my friend and it works nicely 😊😊

A lot of chicanery with scaffolding is in my future lol. Thanks for the awesome build Edit; not the most complicated build tutorial I've followed, quite gratifying to build actually. Based on my experience in survival, just get fancy with scaffolding and have feather falling. Build seems "top heavy" with that massive roof, i STARTED building it about ~6 blocks off the ground, as this is a "watch tower" in my world, so im throwing a stone foundation to balance the "weight" (i was just going to build an earthen mound or a stone cliff under it anyway, so having 4 stone pillars in each corner isnt changing my build much") 9/10 tutorial, watching it being built in creative wont reallt prepare you for the interesting scaffolding work, but otherwise amazing build AND tutorial
Love this, great having the materials listed instead of having to farm as the video goes along! One change I might suggest is going from the ground up as if people are going to build in survival many may not have the power of flight xD
Can something other than a lodestone work? It seems like a bit of a waste using it in the overworld, and I have to imagine a chiseled stone brick would give about the same effect optically.

I built this about 6 months ago in my main town. And decided to make another in my ocean city. Took me 4 days and used prismairne and stripped birch. It looks beautiful. 👍
i had nothing when starting this so it took me like 12+ hours but hey it looks awesome and the tutorial was amazing

Edit; not the most complicated build tutorial I've followed, quite gratifying to build actually. Based on my experience in survival, just get fancy with scaffolding and have feather falling.
Build seems "top heavy" with that massive roof, i STARTED building it about ~6 blocks off the ground, as this is a "watch tower" in my world, so im throwing a stone foundation to balance the "weight" (i was just going to build an earthen mound or a stone cliff under it anyway, so having 4 stone pillars in each corner isnt changing my build much")
9/10 tutorial, watching it being built in creative wont reallt prepare you for the interesting scaffolding work, but otherwise amazing build AND tutorial
Love this, great having the materials listed instead of having to farm as the video goes along! One change I might suggest is going from the ground up as if people are going to build in survival many may not have the power of flight xD

Can something other than a lodestone work? It seems like a bit of a waste using it in the overworld, and I have to imagine a chiseled stone brick would give about the same effect optically.

I was in absolute looooove with this build. I was about 80% done and realized I can't even do the interior how you did because I'm on bedrock and we can't place ladders on trap doors flipped like how you did. Mine looks abit silly now but I still love it.
