Not a bad job being a big city but for the love of god, get off the damn roof when you don’t need to be. That fire was self venting and had no reason for roof ops.
Only in LA would someone run to the fire with a ladder and get on a roof that is vented not to mention the integrity is defiantly compromised. This is the most ridicules thing I have seen. I will do it the old-fashioned way and pull a line.
You right!! NO reason for them to go up there, roof might collapse, just put water on that thing, protect the exposures. Risk little to save a little. Stay safe
Not to start any kind of problems but the home owner needs to get out of the way. Cause is he would of gotten hurt while getting in the way of the firefighters working then that would of been his own fault. Let them do their job get the heck out the way.......
Well I mean I understand what he was doing there were some small embers on the hood of that car that they weren’t putting out, which if left unnoticed would have just caused another large fire with the car.
So lemme get this straight… You are bent outta shape about the home owner who is experiencing one the worst days of there lives…. But see nothing wrong with the photographer knee deep with the boys? In my opinion if it was my house or garage I’d be there also
Yes, made by Cairns. These have a built-in eye shield and are synthetic, not leather. I've seen salad bowl helmets with the eye shield, so I would have thought Phenix could install them in their First Due helmet for extra protection.
Firefighters extinguish the garage, and a car starts burning nearby. so what? let it burn, we were called to extinguish the garage 😅😅😅 it's good that the owner put it out himself 👌
Great video. I feel for the homeowner trying to save his Rolls Royce.
Excellent video. Hearing the radio transmission's was great.
Great Video. Feels like we are right up in the shit. I watched in front of my open oven set at 500 degrees. Just for realism.
Bad enough losing the garage, but the Rolls. Hope it was insured and hope they would repair it!
Just be glad it wasn’t parked in the garage
Great video. The guy on the nozzle looked like a probie, didn't know quite where to start.

Nice cech
Fuck yeah dude!! Gnarly footage. You can tell that shit was hot, FF with the rubbish hook’s turnouts were smoking on the roof.
i'm glad you noticed the smoking FF too, i was wondering who would haha. thanks kraig!
Yeah I saw that to
Profanity gets you flagged
@@deadghost1964 lmfaoooo not like I was cussing someone out, jesus chill bro. 🤣
As you can see, it’s positive not negative.
wow fantastic footage! that thing was rippin’ 🔥
Looks like the nozzle man is struggling with the pressure on the line
Amazing video!
sad- so many illegal electric lines, then guy comes out doing his thing which was surprising being most times they wouldnt be let back there
Was that a probie on the knob? He looked like he couldn't handle the hose line by himself.
It sure looks like it maybe too much pressure on the line
The guy supposedly 'backing him up' wasn't doing squat.
Good job on the video.
Dope coverage
Rookie way too tentative with that hose line. Must be really new.
5:49 nozzle sprays firefighter venting roof
i didn't even notice that haha
Why is ventilation priority before water? Please explain..

Absolutely stupid.
No point being up there.
@@andyoxleyonhistravels Agreed. Fully involved with already vented roof. Water is the priority I would think. Not assisting ventilation!
@@norcanff yes if it’s mostly vented already they assist with water to help contain the fire.

It’s an LAFD thing. Truck was there first, and truck guys ventilate.
He's got to be careful with that saw the sparks can cause a fire.
Sad to see the CLOWN Helmets !
Are those traditional helmets??
Unfortunately
Traditional helmets are king to me but that’s just my opinion after wearing several different styles. Is LAFD going to traditionals?
@@bthrush4 yes, made by Cairns, classic 8 comb shape, but synthetic and with a fold away eye shield rather than Bourkes.

Good chance he was giving the officer in charge information. And how do you think this video was taken ? By someone other than the fire department

@@JS-zb1vv Don't think they where talking about the camera guy.
@@Brian13549 so a camera guy gets a free pass because he has a camera. I guess he isn’t in the way or danger right ? The camera protects you doesn’t?
Are they slowly transitioning over to a traditional style helmet?
that's correct. thanks for watching.

ABRAÇOS.
Why are those guys on the roof? I really don't see the need.
WTF r they putting up ground ladders for and monkeying around with saws......put the wet stuff on the red stuff......
The homeowner had to put the car fire out himself ! The firemen were standing right beside it for 5 minutes & put no water on it ! 🤦🏻♂️
That’s how it’s suppose to be NYFD. Take notes.
hahahahahah.. really!!
Who's NYFD never heard of them. Maybe you mean FDNY. Plus FDNY is one of the best departments in country.
