- Originally aired in January 2019. Fire Station 164 was severely damaged by a fire on May 1, 2024.
Take a walk back through the years at Fire Station 164, serving Huntington Park and surrounding communities. From the vehicle bay to the Hall of Heroes to the grub room, meet the firefighters past and present at one of the County's busiest stations.
Let's hope they can recover fast from the May 01, 2024 fire. Thinking of you from Melbourne, Australia.
I can remember when this station was one of the Huntington Park FD stations. Remember John Harris?
Thank God for all of you
They’ll rebuild..❤🇺🇸🚒
My dad works there
Same here
I think 9's is out of 16's right? and thank u all my dad is a firefighter at 165's right down the road from 164's
Yep. They renumbered Engine 216 to Engine 9 in honor of Jimmy Howe who served on Engine 9, since Engine 216 covers 9's old district.
I was explore at FS164s
I Believe My Brother in Law Battalion Chief Carl Flores was a Paramedic there, Years Back.
My uncle is an Engineer at that station.
Battalion 13 was in the tv show emergency!
Which is interesting considering the station that was actually used in Emergency (127) was not in B-13
@@randymcnary308 Correct, it was in Battalion 7.
I think that was B 14
They’ll rebuild..
Wooden ladders still?
Yes Lacofd and Lafd still ise wooden ladders
Yep
It’s an old station
The caps make them look a bit Busch league
Captain’s helmet is the wrong color.
I agree ...what color should we make it ?
James Fitzgerald RED.
For some reason, in the LA City FD and the LA County FD, Fire Captain helmets are more of an orange color than truly red.
@stevencarrier2466 which matches the reddish orange color of county apparatus
Not fun working in a battalion house
