I can relate... Once in a fortnight I might have something sweet though.. But what is required is to develop a habit of reading labels and thinking whether what one is eating contains sugar.. Might not be eating sugar directly, but perhaps eating products which contain sugar... At best you can encourage your friend to be more aware... that's what I am trying with my father...

Sugar does not mean only crystal sugar. Many everyday foods like fruits , vegetables, have more or less amount of glucose content in them which are in the form of carbs. So even if you stopped consuming crystallized sugar , that does not mean you have completely no sugar (glucose) consumption. Thus, it is better to get rid of this extra sugar that one consumes in the form of processed crystal sugar and one can rely on more organic ( less processed ) forms of sugar available in fruits like apple, watermelon, orange, etc.

Sugar means something which is sweet.. Even normal roti and rice has sugar.... In winters i usually cook gajar ka halwa without sugar... It get sweetned itself.. No added sugar.. Its has lots of health benefits too. As vit A is souble in fat....

My daily sugar intake is 2 teaspoons, some days it is more than this but I walk a lot and daily cycling 3km. 😅 I also love to dance in my room to kabhi kabhi jada sugar kha bhi lu to kuch khas fark nhi prr jayega

You just did not clear a common doubt ! Are all types of sugar harmful or only refined sugar which we buy from grocery is harmful ? What about sugarcane juice and jaggery ? These seem to be more natural Please reply if possible

We need glucose for functioning, but the crystallized form is not good in long run. Fruits are the best source for it.
