You don't have to born in the same era to get mesmerized by someone's voice, personality, beauty. Great singers are great in any era. But yes some singers are versatile like Kishore, Lata, Udit, Kumar Sanu, Sonu, Alka, Shaan, KK, Sunidhi, Arijit. They will be remembered forever by generations to come.
90s were the trip man, I'd also recommend movies from that era. Some of the best movies from Bollywood were made in the 90s and definitely the best music.

Kumar Sanu has almost 80% hit ratio out of his all the recorded songs for Bollywood movies. No other 90s singer could surpass even 60% hit ratio. This is the only reason he’s called as king of melody and received artist of the decade award . I don't know from where you got this stuff ,there is no clear thiñg how many songs got hit . In 997,98,99 udit narayan songs became more popular . Jatin pandit said Mukesh had best record of hit songs . He sang approx 1200 and he said his 1100 songs became hit no one will beat that
@@KrishanKumar-ec1ch Lol do some research. you’ll get the answer on your own 97 to 99 there are several Bollywood albums where Udit Narayan is not seen at all. Kumar Sanu supremacy was intact from 1990-2000. Udit had slight upper hand only between 2000-2003 period.

Literally udit and sonu nigam rules 2000s and udit had upper hand on sonu . 1996-1999 udit had upper hand on sanu. 1995 ddlj he sang more ,second biggest album Raja ,rangeela didn't feature sanu ,Ram jaane . 1996 udit songs became slightly more popular to sanu song ,1997 Dil toh pagal hai biggest album all male songs ,1998 kuch kuch hota hai udit sang more ,bade miyan chote miyan . There are many albums which didn't feature sanu too

Udit was out completely after 2005 except 3-4 movies between 2005-2008 only vivah had few songs. And 2000-2005 is Sonu era. Very wise fully you are skipping Jab Pyar kisise hota hai. Pyar kiya to darna kya, Soldier. Virasat, Judwa etc. Just dil to pagal hai can’t make Udit rule. Udit never ruled any period. He was always a side singer of 90s and early 2000s.
DDLJ has best sung by Sanu. 1995 barsat was better album than Raja. Karan Arjun Kumar Sanu dominated. Wake up man.

From 2000-2005 he was the number 1 singer . He gave the more popular and part of the most highest selling album . 2000 mohabbatein highest selling album ,2001 k3g highest selling album ,gadar ,lagaan .,2002 raaz ,devdas ,2003 hum tumhare hai Sanam ,koi mil gya tere naam highest selling album ,2004 mujh se shadi karogi,veer Zara highest selling album .
One thing about these compilations you should keep in mind is that in most of the songs , the best part from vocal point of view is not taken in the compilations. So you must listen to full songs in these compilations and share your reactions ...curious for that as well....love you brother ❤ all the way from India

Well indian movies have songs cause they tell story, portrait emotions they contribute in movie and let's be honest we indians love music, dance so 🤧 and hence sometimes singers show up in music video sometimes not and many aren't even interested to feature in music videos

Songs are the part of story telling. Most of the times characters are actually talking to each other through songs or it’s just a transition. Songs have always been an essential part of Indian Cinema. It may look weird when you watch these songs randomly but actually are not. Also songs have provided a huge business in the industry. Even if the movie does not do well, songs saves the day.
India has songs for every moment, every emotion and every relationship you can think of. We Indians are so used to them that we even start to talk in songs.

yes but it is good to see the singer himself than all these lip synching people. For a musician it is important to see the singer while listening to his/her voice.
Their look and background in all these movies are based on the story of the movie, that is why you feel that some movies are sad. Some movies are funny, some are love stories and some are a mix of all these. You will know if you watch the movie.🇮🇳

These are mostly 80s and 90s songs. All of them from Bollywood films, nowadays there's a trend of music videos in India it wasn't popular back then. These are all iconic songs and I would recommend listening to complete songs with lyrics if possible, the lyrics were so beautiful back in the day. The songs that you are seeing in these compilations are all part of a movie which is why it's the actors being shown in those songs. Singers are not shown onscreen as singers have separate music projects too which have them appearing in it.

You know what makes Indian music special its lyrics which are very meaningful back in the days. Nowadays it's not worthy cause the trend of remixed songs . Watch Rockstar (2011) movie from Bollywood a new era musical masterpieces you will love 💟 it . Each music track of this movie is a gem and unique of its kind. And another masterpiece is Khamoshi : the Musical (1996) movie. But sometimes the English translation of the lyrics do not convey the real message.

You should check out the lyrics of songs from some Bollywood comedy movies, especially the Govinda (actor) ones. In this video there was "mai tujhko bhaga laya", "Anga mein baba", "tujhko mirchi lagi toh", etc. You will burst out laughing connecting the meaning of the lyrics and and the song video. BTW, the sons in this video took me down a nostalgia trip.
