My band plays this and replaces the original drum break with an 8 measure drum rack solo by the drum solo with 5 cymbals, 4 snares, and 8 toms. Pit also plays the melody for the first 4 measures of the drum break.
It's pretty much a jazz chart already. This assignment for a big band would be really close though ideally with a bit of editing for managing the divides. Alto 1: Alto upper divides Alto 2: Alto lower divides Tenor 1: Tenor upper divides Tenor 2: Tenor lower divides Bari Sax: Tuba Trumpet 1: Trumpet 1 upper divides Trumpet 2: Trumpet 1 lower divides Trumpet 3: Trumpet 2 Trumpet 4: Trumpet 3 Trombone 1: Trombone 1 upper divides Trombone 2: Trombone 1 lower divides Trombone 3: Trombone 2 Trombone 4: Baritone Keyboard: Mallet Percussion Parts Bass: Tuba Drum Set: Drum Set Guitar: F Horn (there isn't really anything left to give guitar so I gave the part that matches the voicing the best)
+BlackIce123491 you have to practice to quickly change between harmonics, lower brass instrument are easy on this, but on a trumpet is rather hard since the mouthpiece is so small. Since I could not do a fast rapid change of hamonics, I play that shake by rapidly shake my hand, which make the trumpet move a little bit, resulting a slide and shake thing quite simular sounding to this recording. good luck on you practicing!
It's a lip trill, most properly it is to be done with just a lip slur between the two extremes of the harmonic (like a pitch bend), and at high ranges the harmonics are close enough for a good player to switch between them fast enough and trill. Or you could just put hella vibrato (shaking hand, jaw, or head up and down) to create the same effect beyond the lips
I dont understand why so many people complain about the tuba parts. Theyre supposed to keep a nice pitch beat and help everyone sound great. And im the only Bari Sax in my school. I know people would give up Tuba for something else as im always excited to play.
For the first time in forever tenor saxophones didn't just play the trombone part, AND had divisions, I'm in love.
Cinnamon Moofan Well it's a Jazzy style song. So it's more likely for the saxes to pair up
And the clarinet part at some point even used us as an optional play for once 😭😭😭
And this is a marching band piece.
i was in disbelief, thought it was a jazz piece xD

Marching Jazz Band
Tachibana said dancing band
My highschool did a field show to this
From 2010-2017 Kyoto Tachibana Modified and remixed both Sing Sing Sing and Swing swing swing making each year a unique mix of both Singx3 and Swingx3
Yes, they are 2016 class. Performing this song mixed with sing sing sing on event 3.000 brass band in Japan. What a miracle young students!
The high notes in the trumpets 😍😍😍
the trill tho
Kyoto Tachibana 🧡
KYOTO TACHIBANA! 🧡🖤
As a trombone player, I honestly love all the high notes in the 1st part.
As a trumpet player, I honestly love playing the high note at the end
あ、グルグルのとこ発見!
This reminds me of "The Empores New Groove" dont you think?
Yeah
My favorite part is the trombone feature in the middle its is so cool.
Epic Gaming Baritone as well :)
Gage without baritone it won't sound right it back ground for music
#TromboneMasterRace
I know. That's probably the most amazing part in this song.
Danielle Ferguson Baritones are the sub-foundation of the sound
Jesus christ this is insane
it is grade 5
Some songs are written like an octave above this one
CJDude 101 Those versions are so unnecessary.
Nestor Pelayo I mean suit to yourself .... I just think a higher octave than a trumpets C# is just too much.
@@bluforrestleaf Did you like Metamorph from BD? It was riddled with super high trumpet licks
John Williams never ceases to impress.
The first trumpets at the end... Wow...
Why I usually play the bottom splits lol
Finally a good sax part! 😎
Rollercoaster Rob I know right!!!
I was looking for a RUclips link for the 1941 soundtrack version of this and came upon this. Well done!
Almost a decade later, and this never gets old
Am I the only one who watch this because of Kyoto Tachibana Marching Band??
Haruno Sakura38 春野 桜38 I love them!!!!
Haruno Sakura38 春野 桜38 yes
FINALLY!!! 👏👏👏👏
Me too.

Playing the marching bass drum for this was so fun. Just kinda wish we didn't play this my freshman year.
My band plays this and replaces the original drum break with an 8 measure drum rack solo by the drum solo with 5 cymbals, 4 snares, and 8 toms. Pit also plays the melody for the first 4 measures of the drum break.
hey my band too what a coincidence (hi nick)
@@avahasson4291 lmao hi ava
Holy Cow!!! I love this song. Please tell me there's a jazz band version because this is just awesome! Because this just sounds so jazzy.
it's based off the Jazz song Sing Sing Sing
this is jazz. cat make anymore more jazzier than this fam
take out the piccolo and clarinet parts that pretty much dont even exist and you can play it with a jazz band
They litteraly only play 8 beats within a whole minute of measures lol. Not counting their optional Tenor and Alto part
It's pretty much a jazz chart already. This assignment for a big band would be really close though ideally with a bit of editing for managing the divides.

*Tenor Sax for the win*
heck yeah
This is INSANE!
Didn't Kyoto Tachibana ever play this version of Sing, Sing Sing/ Swing Swing Swing in the past? I just want to know when they did.
Yes they did it on 2011 or 2012 if I'm not mistaken
Yes my dear army!
I hated playing this for my band but it was fun at the same time
Proud to be a trombonist xD
shaner3333333333 same lol

the end part lol
DrumLine :P
This song is so cool! it reminds me so much of the song Sing Sing Sing that my Jazz band played when I was in 6th grade. I love it!
+William Tarleton Well Swing Swing Swing did derive from Sing Sing Sing and I must say, it was well done.
Sing Sing Sing was the first result when looking for this song, so this is definitely an homage to Sing Sing Sing.
I'm getting Kyoto Tachibana vibes...
有難う御座います。kyoto tachibana
Yes Saxophones
This is an awesome grade 5
If your middle school can play these parts I’m retiring
you're tellin me you want us to MOVE *and* PLAY THIS?
The saxophone solo starts at 0:13 and end at 0:30
might be the opener for next year's marching show! i hope
Aidan Jones it's opener at my school this upcoming year
Our band is playing this in Hawaii in March for a parade

1:08 never gets old
Playing this song as a Saxophone Quartet in our Spring Band Concert 👍
jazzzzzzzzzy!
Really cool and all these cue notes are optional so that when those are played everyone will stay on beat and on key.
Thank you for telling us how cue notes work Captain obvious
Damn fun to play.

Is this a spin off of sing sing sing or is this another song entirely they sound so similar
I think it is, actually
What style of swing (light, standard, heavy, etc) does this song have?
Olá amigos, por favor qual é esse programa que foi editado esse arranjo??
It's confusing but it's everything in 1!

sort of sad that the tuba parts dont get harder as the grade level goes up a level 3 is similarly had to this level 5

I feel kinda dizzy after hearing that
Very cool song but kind of misleading when you use audio ripped straight from the original soundtrack
The movie "1941"
It's not the same audio... The original was for a big band with a string orchestra... If it was the same audio the video would be copyright claimed...
play it alongside the official ost, it's the same
FACADE Music the original is a bit faster and the articulations are much different.
I came here because it was played in boggart class
