My mistake is wasting hours of my holiday break on Christmas paper and letter to Santa. Over 1 million Christmas paper turned in and all I’ve gotten is overheads. Nice 😊 still a cursed account where I’ve not received 1 item under the drop chances. It’s a 19 year account btw.
The event is neither rewarding, community focused, or fun. Just junk food, bonus xp, and lackluster activities. I would’ve been happy if they just had the hole tbh.
You gotta keep trying bud. Most bosses require hundreds of kills sometimes before you get a drop.
Join the club. over 600k paper, nothing good. On top of that, I used nearly 3000 TH keys and only recieved ONE purple gem for 25m. No other purple gems, no ultra rare. This event is a fucking joke. My New Years resolution will be to find a better game. My acount is almost 23 years old btw.

Boy you don't get that just by playing. You spent money on that paper. Which really turns out to be a shit ton of xp
I think the LOTD one is dependent on what you actually do. If you are a skiller and doing gathering skills then LOTD with GOTE is an excellent combination. If you are into PVM then obviously it is not an ideal upgrade.
i accidently used a equipment dissolver instead of augmentation dissolver on my ascensions years ago and recently I was stoned and going for biting 4 and accidently put it into a weapon gizmo and the worst part is i clicked make another. fat rip to 300m
I think my biggest mistake was getting swept up in end game pvm, as an mmo player my goal is usually to get to end game and grind end game raids and content, however runescape is sandboxy enough to allow you to skip almost all the content in the form of quests, achievements, and learning anything about the world to just allow bossing, which is the route i took and my account is just massively behind all my friends as a result, so even though i have a 25b bank with bis mage, range, melee, and almost bis necro gear and perks, i still have to do quests from 20 years ago to catch up
I used to be so worried about GP, but once i started hitting 99 in multiple skills, i learned how there are so many ways to make gp and save gp through your skills. Like slayer is one of the chillest best money makers, also combinations of gathering and crafting skills can make good money as well.
Mine is deciding to grind to 99 Agility, cus I liked the cape and the emote. I love agility, but you have to admit it is pretty much useless outside of run energy. While this is kind of a joke, because I have 0 regrets, I just wish the skill had more use in game. Not even the shortcuts are really worth it. Jagex needs to rework agility to have a meaningful purpose, like effect dodge rating. Also it should effect things like hit chance and adrenaline, which works well with what agility represents. Agility should work similar to how dexterity works in other games. It is a support skill, it should actually support more than just running.
I got 200m agility as my first non combat 200m, I spent countless hours on it and its completely useless, but i love telling people i have it, I think the skill is useless but its fun to brag since everyones jaw drops at having that one 200m
@@darianlalla8322 legit the main reason I ever wanted 99 was the cape looks nice, and it always had my favourite emote. I didn't care how useless it is outside of run drain. I hope maybe Jagex will add some meaningful agility content in the future.

@darianlalla8322 it needs a legit rework. The training methods are fine, but the skill needs more purpose for sure. It doesn't have to be a nearly useless skill.
Still mindblown i got the black partyhat out of everyone i know. My mistake was "Getting a large amount of money and spreading it across all combat styles, when I should have probably just chose 1 combat style to fully invest in."
6:55 actually i had the same situation, i was so confused with invention back then. long story short, i dissolved my Masterwork Spear of Annihilation back then when he was over 400m ...
My biggest mistake: Allowing myself to fall into the “I main X style” mindset which held me back from so much content that the particular style I “mained” wasn’t particularly incredible at. It really held me back when I was massively over-investing in a single style; investing in max gear and lv99 prayers, meanwhile I barely had tier 70 in the other styles. It’s okay to have a favorite style that you use most often. But you should not neglect the others, or you’ll end up locking yourself out of content or making certain content worse for yourself.
I now need to start chopping regular trees and selling them at barbarian village.... Thanks for the inspiration! xD

hello, returning rs3 player after around a year or so. i think im close to a 10 year vet. been active for most of these years.
my biggest mistake DEFINITELY has to be completing the quest Smoking Kills after getting 99 slayer. im never one for quests or guides, i just looked up on the wiki for whatever monsters were best to kill and who assigned them. lo and behold, when i found out i couldve been gaining double slayer points i nearly snapped my pc in half.
Making a biting 4/mobile on a weapon perk… had the components remaining in my pouch. Made it first try. Found out I made the mistake. Bought a nox staff to level with 3 failed attempt and another staff with 2 more failed attempts. 600m mistake
Grico was 400m day one then it went to 1.2b and stayed there
I am very surprised to not see a “don’t sell your money makers.” Meaning, whatever you have that makes the fastest money for you, don’t be impulsive and sell for any reason. Idk if anyone has had the same issue but I find myself sometimes selling items I use regularly/semi regularly to buy some kind of upgrade faster. Rather t99 prayers and down grading gear or going for 120 herblore because you decided selling your lv 20 augmentation armor set with nearly bis perks would be worth it. :’(.
Basically, don’t sell your money makers because you’re impulsive.

i regret buying FSOA, i got it few months before the change it cost me 3.6b and i barely noticed a damage increase from nox. no i didnt 4tick thingy. then it dropped. necro came out and it dropped again. its what 1.4b now? and being called an EOF filler.
now i only use necro and doing much better with it. could of used that 3b on other stuff

Lmao you’re all bots. If you didnt notice a dps increase from nox to fsoa then you were using it wrong. The spec is literally extra damage everytime you crit.

Sell your 2 billion GP weapon and buy supplies to train invention and get BIS perks and settle for cheaper t90s. I guarantee the dps will be miles better than just having a BIS weapon.
@@Tomahawk-Bear You need 1 billion gp for BIS perks. And its too slow to train by siphoning.
I always press +5% +20% when I buy stuff before checking if itll go for mid cuz i got so tired of redoing it. lol
for a year I didnt know zuk cape carries on the perks from max cape, and ignored optimizing the perks

One question, is it considered hoarding when saving GP up for the next big upgrade or should you get all lower tier upgrades before the biggest, largest purchase? Trying to save gp for a Soulbound Lantern. XD

It entirely depends on what the lower tier upgrades are. Some of those upgrades can have very immediate benefits, some not. 5 stacks of souls though is extremely useful and does have a lot of weight. What are the items and how long would you need to grind or get lucky at? The cost in this instance is time; how much time would you need to hoard before the benefits provided by the lesser upgrades outweigh the time spent biding your time for the big one?
Well, the only necro upgrades I have left are the t95 armor and soulbound lantern, and armor always comes after weapons. That's all I've got left. XD@@azimoc7982
I recommend just doing Rasial with T90 gear and get the weapons/armor yourself, and then if keep doing rasial and get drops, all those drops are profit. Its like this with any boss in the game, once you get the gear from that boss, and continue to do it, the additional gear you can sell and buy something that either you are really dry for bossing or save up for soemthing you really want
Chasing the meta instead of having fun, always was chasing the combat style and w.e after a certain point even if I didn’t like it and now only do things I enjoy or want to unlock
Money is a trap. so is efficiency. Don't optimize the fun out. The fun is often in those inefficiencies.
I was confused how someone sold a LOTD for a wand and bought codex until I looked up the current GE price....I bought two by accident (my short term memory is garbage and forgot I had just bought one) but they were 17m back then :')
Bought lotd because I was too lazy to walk to the GE lol. In the end everything turned out well and Im running a t90 weapon on t80 armour with biting now. Im looking into buying tectonic once I learnt to kill the real profitable bosses

On the fun vs efficiency, I actually like to hunt the Shiny Tortles, I don’t why, I just like to hunt them. And it’s not the most efficient way to level up Hunter, but I don’t care, since I’m lvl 99 Hunter.
Nah dawg, LOTD tier 4 luck is absolutely necessary, save up selling cow hides for it, should be yout first purchase from the ge 😝

No I will not sell my luck of the dwarfs for t90 weapon. I want that shiny ring, I also bought grace of the elves and brooch of the gods. They make me happy. happy notifications that don't mean a thing, little things appearing around me blessing me for days. When I got a dragon mattock from big game hunter I did not sell it but instead made the imcando mattock, because it makes me happier then buying a weapon so I can earlier join pvm endgame gang
the one about buying something on release hit me hard coz i spent 500m on a purple santa and i lost 300m to it

About the time spent playing for fun vs earning gp. I only play ironman mode and love it. I would recommend everyone to play this gamemode. You learn so much about the game itself and not worry about earning gp. Just play at your pace and do what you want. Ofc the grind can be longer, but it just is so much more fun in my opinion. :)

The whole 'gp comes and goes' mindset is something I back fully, the moment I stopped caring about how much I was spending on supplies and rather started caring more about faster kill times and making sure I had enough supplies to last me I started getting much faster kills and making way more money, if you keep yourself perpetually in a supplies struggle you're literally just cucking your pvm, and then often those people ask how some kill times are so much faster, it's because 30k for a vuln bomb is worth 100% of the time, a boss dying faster not only means more kills per hour but also means you take less damage and them taking more damage from you means more healing from soul split etc, it all adds up there's a lot more variables people forget about lol
LotD's value is questionable for PVM but it's a god unlock for skilling activities, giving you that chance at HSR.
The real noob trap is getting your LotD and sacrificing it for the relic. 200RP will shut you out of a lot of relic combos.
