    Great video again Benny. Unfortunately Core Tech will not even hire locals. It's a revenue concern. They can't pay a local the same rate as they do foreigners, and from their perspective why would they? Why would they pay a local double the amount of what they can get out of a foreigner? So I think more locals would most definitely apply to work construction actually. It's just the cost is too high to pay for Core Tech. They would rather make more money off of Filipinos.

    • @planetguam8475

    Thank you Planet Guam from Saipan
    I would constantly question my filipino coworkers about their life back home and would get mixed answers:
    "I wouldn't have moved here if life back home was easy"
    "life is good in the Philippines, very cheap, and live off the land growing kamote"
    So yeah some of them aspire make a new life and some of them just want to make money to send back home.

    • @planetguam8475
      @planetguam8475  Месяц назад +2

      Buenas Chel'lu, hope all is good in Saipan. Yes, it does seem confusing. I believe they would like to have it both ways: work to have money to buy items that are very cheap in the Philippines, and live off the land. Sadly that's not reality, they have to do one or the other at separate times. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. Much love to Saipan, from Guam ❤

    • @planetguam8475
      @planetguam8475  Месяц назад +1

      @@bluegrey3082 Very true. It would be nice. Not much locals want to work for construction, unless its a supervisor position. I have two cousins that did a lengthly prison term, both work in construction because nobody would hire them anywhere else. One got certified as an auto technician while in the halfway house, but nobody was willing to hire him except construction, so now he works there. Like I said in this video, "We're too spoiled."
      Read the description on this video. It will explain the conditions for companies to hire foreign workers.
