Daniel beckwith was so paranoid that he made askia put on a blindfold whenever he was brought through the house into the basement. He was led through the hoarding maze that was setup so that if you didn't know the way out it would literally take forever. When the fire broke out the smoke was super heavy so he had to crawl through the maze of junk which often purposely led to dead ends. Daniel attempted to rescue Askia by calling his name and screaming for him to get out but the fire was spreading so fast that Daniel ran out of the house. Askia eventually made it to a basement window but discovered there were bars on it that prevented him from escaping the flames so he stood there screaming for help then fell backwards into the fire and died a horrible death.
I was kinda disappointed in his most recent video, the fact that he always used to be impartial was what made it so good imo. The legal battle isn't explained well and goes against the angle oki takes.

It's really discerning how many fans of Charlie border the line between abnormal and unhinged, especially since Charlie has constantly put down such thinking and behavior multiple times in his content. They probably don't even listen to his reasoning and only watch him for his deadpan humor.
Another thing that doesn't get mentioned much. Is the size of the fire itself. Autopsies say he was burned from head to toe. Even his father said he was "Practically Cooked!" Yet In the documentary, the firefighters were able to put out the flame with a few sprays of water?
Best guess is that it's actually because he was found on an arc welder and was electrocuted to death with enough electricity that the burns charred his flesh. In that case he could suffer horrific burn injuries within a fairly contained space. Probably got electrocuted so badly that the fire spread and rich shit head called the fire department to try and save his bunker from being destroyed. Not because he cared about trying to save the guy he likely just tortured to death.
@@CatCheshire This is probably correct. In enclosed spaces the temperature can quickly rise and give you burns across the whole body due to the temperature rather than direct contact of the flame.
Daniel was a regular caller into the Snow Plow Show, a prank call show here on YT I've been listening to for years. The guy who runs the show, Brad, actually gave a short interview in this vid but Charlie happened to not show any of it. I remember hearing Daniel leave voicemails where he would say weird stuff, and then hearing Brad mention this situation after it started to unfold, but he never had any real details. Finding out about the whole situation through this video was crazy. Daniel actually gave Brad a prank idea where he calls people and tells them he's been digging tunnels throughout the neighborhood, and he's under their house right now for various reasons lol.

When I watched the video I never considered that he never bothered to save him due to his fear of him knowing where his house is, I thought it was just severe neglect for others but that's the level of sociopathy Daniel was at. Askia's dad seems very intelligent and the concern he showed for him seemed very realistic, that he was working for some sketchy rich guy hoping to become rich himself. Truly heartbreaking stuff, Oki makes some of the professional stuff tho.
If i remeber this correctly he would blindfold the person, have them walk through a fake maze, up and down stairs, while also repeatidly spinning them in a circle. This would make it impossible to find an exit in an emergency.
Appreciate the hell out of that prepping spiel. There's absolutely rational and responsible ways to prep for some kind of disaster. By “not resolved,” the guy, I’m assuming the father, meant that there is no justice in the case-the man still died in a fire, so no conviction of Daniel will bring Askia back. None of the charges pertained to Askia’s death because he voluntarily worked for Daniel and died in an accident, so the guy/father will not get justice for Askia’s avoidable death. Also, screw Daniel. I can’t believe he assigned the blame to Askia for failing to find a window without bars. How can this guy not accept culpability in this death? If this guy didn’t have a hoarder house, Askia could have fled to safety; also, if he didn’t build a pointless bunker under his house, Askia would never have been there. As of now, I can’t exactly say it’s a murder because there is no irrefutable evidence of motive and method, but it was entirely avoidable.
I think Charlie missed a major detail, the basement was filled with trash in a maze like fashion, and the guy was blindfolded when being led through it. The reason he couldn’t find his way out is because it was full of smoke and he was literally trapped in a maze of trash and fire.

I remember this vividly from Blab. It was wild how a lot of people in the Blab community celebrated Daniels existence (3alarmlampscooter) because he was so smart & connected to the Martin Shkreli streams. People would idolize this man and convince Askia that he was an intelligent person who was almost 'God-like'. It was ridiculous. People were so into the idea of him building tunnels and being 'as smart as Martin'. I'm telling it like it is, I witnessed him show his explosives and talk about ideas of building tunnels to access underneath government places to bomb them or monitor them. He showed his tunnels several times in streams and coerced people to believe a grandiose identity. He is a very dangerous man and I'm very concerned that he managed to get away with what he has done to Askia & the motives behind his actions were close to terrorism, but now he is a free man. Sad world & RIP Askia & big love to anyone in the Blab community affected by this. - Elethal

Wtf poor Askia...........

@Patrick39 ok Xavier
Charlie's chat is mix of dumb and normal people. Sometimes I love them, other times I'm concerned for humanity
I read "chat" as "cat" and got really worried for a second
I did too wtf
It's really discerning how many fans of Charlie border the line between abnormal and unhinged, especially since Charlie has constantly put down such thinking and behavior multiple times in his content. They probably don't even listen to his reasoning and only watch him for his deadpan humor.
Another thing that doesn't get mentioned much. Is the size of the fire itself. Autopsies say he was burned from head to toe. Even his father said he was "Practically Cooked!"
Yet In the documentary, the firefighters were able to put out the flame with a few sprays of water?
Maybe the close space of the tunnel worked as an oven?

That "oh man I could have saved him I was so close" sent chills done my flipping spine
He said that

He showed his tunnels several times in streams and coerced people to believe a grandiose identity.
