Just came across your channel while researching credit cards, specifically AMEX, and I’m glad I did. Your content is well researched and you present your information in a clear and understandable way. The pace at which you speak is perfect for your viewers to absorb what you’re saying. You’re also not pretentious and trying to “flex” like a lot of others on RUclips. I’m definitely subscribing and I’m looking forward to hearing more from you!!! 💵💳
Why is there no mention of the annual fees for the cards used in the booking example? If the annual fees are taken into account, the "free" trip basically becomes a pre-paid trip.
I have a few other videos that break down the math behind each of these cards with examples for how much people spend in a year. Generally speaking the sign up bonus plus credits on a lot of these does work out to adding a few hundred to thousand dollars of value even taking into account the annual fee
Wasn’t almost sold on going with C1 because of multipliers. But because Chase will have a lounge at my home airport, the Amazon card and I’ll be doing more domestic travel in the next few years I’ve decided to go with chase
In my opinion, chase is the best for domestic travel. You need to make sure you get a Sapphire Card obviously to get access to the portal but with the transfer partners in SWA or United / Hyatt hotels you can always get good value for your spend. Good luck 👍🏼
Do points expire? Do you close the credit card after you’ve used the points? If you have an exceptional credit score can you open multiple credit cards at once? Thanks for the info. I’ve never known about these features and have always just had the standard bank credit card and redeem points for cash.
Points generally don't expire, but if you close your card without another card to put them onto, they do go away. It depends on if I'll close the card. If I am getting good value from it (I like the other benefits even though Ive used up all the sign up bonus, I'll keep it). Some cards I may open just to get the bonus then close after that's been used up. If you have a high credit score, you can open multiple cards at once. It's not recommended due to making approval more difficult and having to meet multiple sign up bonuses at the same time. It can also temporarily dent your credit score.
