I was thinking I was alone in how I felt about this guy... Felt like I needed to take an intellectual shower after... And I dont even know what that means... 😂 Felt bad for Emad but think he handled it well.
Love Emad, but Sam clearly wins this one.. the problem is that AI is deflationary. It has tremendous value BECAUSE it destroys high COST stuff. It's not a zero sum game.
I genuinely love these interviews, but so many of your takes are just miles off it makes this one hard to listen to. It’s tantamount to saying there’s issues with Babel, so React shouldn’t work
so this is the 2nd time ive seen this guy, he just is jaded about software and tech, so let him go buy esg bullshit and let the sun keep gettiing hotter lmfaooo
Man this guy is so annoying. Just bc something doesn't have an profit motive doesn't mean that it's not useful. Something can be a universal creator, and hes like, what's the use case?
This Sam guy as a cripy smile. Anyway, both argument have their values but saying that Ai will help the incombent and that except Entertainment he doesn't see much disruption in Ai doesn't make sens to me. If you say that ai is not interesting for VC because of these points, since when do Vcs not invest in entertainment apps? And didn't he see how much money companies such as Disney have been loosing lately despite their IPs? They tried to shove a certain narrative down people throte and the people weren't having it. Ai will allow small companies to be more competitve by producing great quantity of a great quality content for a fraction of the price. New IPs will be created over night with a narrative that aligns with people values. Regarding the rest of the market, you have industries such as Healthcare, Architecture,Robotic and others that will be disrupted by Ai

I think this is why Emad decided doing interviews isn't worth his time anymore.

Sam is stereotypical MBA.

This guy speaks like he’s a 15 year old on a TikTok livestream
