      @@JamesLaughlinOfficial about the second listen, biggest takeaway, on being productive and the error of just doing more. I’m an artist, lucky enough to sell most of what I paint. This summer it sold faster than I could paint, so I tried to get into high gear and just paint more. What a stressful time, really, and I just began to wilt. Not all artists are like that and at higher levels they can just ramp up. But for me not having « being » time where I could stare off into space, and just let the ideas simmer, greatly diminished my pleasure in painting and my happiness to be free to just explore and fail. I think creative people my have a mind that needs this more than some others.

      Actually it's already closer than that right now it's advanced to much and that's why the creators are trying to get people's attention it's to late it's close to human intelligence already and by the time people realize it it'll be far to late and we need to prepare all of society all people because theirs nothing we can do to stop it it's already in motion for far to long but it's why people need motivated

      A billion times faster, sure thing, but smarter, nope.
      Those that think we as humans can actually create an 'entity' that is smarter than us is not only naive and clueless about how computers work but also is borderline insane.
      Ai will be as dangerous or 'smart' as it's controllers behind it want it to be, it will never have it's own will, aspirations, ambitions or any other human characteristics than define the human condition. Ai will always be a human construct with it's limitations, a tool like anything else we have created, nothing more.
      Careful of the snake oil peddlers warning about Ai taking over the human race, they will be the ones hiding behind the curtain pushing it's buttons.

      Getting AI to align the right way, during and after development, and then again during further development, is extremely, mindbogglingly complicated, with 90% of all material describing it being of philosophical nature, and the other 10% being code complications. Well. . . I personally have liked to build things fix things etc example i have a custom built a computer that i use currently and proud of it watercooled custom loop anyways 🤓 i love computers an like Mo a gamer since i was a child and love his gaming analogy relative to lifes meanings metaphorically was perfect! 💯
      So i don't know how to code which is a language i do not understand and hearing from Mo that eventually it will be so smart and speaking amongst itself in its own language is kinda scary yet profoundly amazing too humans made this is mind boggling smart device made of silicone plastic an metal that is going to be smarter than einstein very soon if not already is wild 🤯.
      But like he also said closely is essentially the AI is a product of its creator almost like some humans are products of their environments. I think almost to the movie 5th element with Bruce Willis an Le-lu the girl like learns about humans an gets accustomed to the times after they reanimate her from a friggin hand AI potential lol an sees all our human histroy an violence towards eachother. Fastforward to the end they save the world only when bruce willis tells her humans deserve to live because we love. Idk i hope AI loves. And sees the good in humanity and has oir best interest at the root of its programming. Cure Cancer. Solve energy issues. Maybe even design better political structures idk the possibilities could be endless! Lol like i pray that AI once general an truely sentient will not judge us to harshly and the truth is we truely are a threat to ourselves. You know more people die from tripping than getting shot. Old stat i read lol if so that is wild too... sure humans we do wild things i ride motocross and skateboarding snowboarding etc so extreme sports, worst is Wars, naturally but self declared choices to go and Wing suits, Rock climbing free hand, Land speed records in wild hand made vehicles haha idk humans are awesome and AI can be too. And having our best interests like an overbearing mother isn't always healthy growth either? So im just on the "fence" if you will. I robot could truely be a thing in my opinion. Some movies have come true already! Like Mo said though no going back now 🤷‍♂️
      Have you seen the story of the Sony photographer contest and the repeat winner submitted an AI image and the years before won with his own but this year i believe submitted this image and again won only to reveal he submitted an AI image in an effort to raise awareness soon it will submit its own images and win like everything else touches the game GO an Coding like mo said. It was a beautiful picture and thats where i had seen hope that humans are using it to make and show humankind softer side and some beauty through the artist and to me thats still his input. Like the stroke of a keyboard or prompt as mo says and it will do it an be the best at it! I could talk for days about it but thats to much i feel already! I went to school some everyday students given pencils to do their job an one kid is going to throw it and stick it in the ceiling. Someone will be malicious with such a powerful tool. Sad but true. But the rest of the class hopefully stays focused and the trouble makers get detention lol! 🤓😂🤣
      Thanks for asking my opinion James! 🤜🔥🤛
      I am sorry i went on a rant a lil' bit! 👽✌💪🌎🌏🌍💞🤣😂
      Take care, best of wishes an blessings for you and your families James an Mo!

      Maybe, just Maybe this is what those in power ( corporate and government ) are afraid of and so now want to slow it down, so they can try to keep the status quo ?

    I have one question though. Is there a much advanced AI technology that is hidden from us and has military use? Is it possible that it is sentient? Reason is I believe that we always see the civilian version. Revealing only partially what is truly there.

      You are correct sir. Whatever we think we know as cutting edge is potentially 50 to 100 years behind what the military has . This isn't a conspiracy, it's how anyone wins at a strategic battle. Keep your abilities secret and your moves impossible to predict.

    The problem with AI is that it has no internal basis for determining truth. It doesn't fact-check anything by logic, but rather by reputation. Therefore, it becomes an irrational defender of the status quo. Try to give it a controversial theory which you can logically defend, and it marginalizes you, supporting the party line. In fact, it's quite stupid when faced with controversial theories. This means if it is given power, it is going to support the status quo against any type of radical innovation.

    • @JamesLaughlinOfficial
      @JamesLaughlinOfficial  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your response! Do you think though that as it gets smarter, it will be able to fact-check and have a proper conversation?

    • @ssake1_IAL_Research
      @ssake1_IAL_Research Год назад +1

      I had a lengthy "conversation" with ChatGPT about this very subject. As best I could understand, it fact-checks by reputation, which is to say, it prioritizes those sources which Society deems most reputable. It doesn't have any internal standard, which in psychological terms, means it is ultimately "other-directed." What was disappointing to me, is that it admittedly makes sparse use of logic. So if it has no intuitive, internal sense of truth, and it doesn't primarily use logic to decide what is the next-most-likely thing to say, and it still has to prioritize responses, all it has left is reputation of sources; and that is, precisely, the status quo. This, I believe, is the origin of "hallucinating." "Hallucinating" is not an aberration which can be fixed, or which it will fix on its own. It is inherent in the design. "Hallucinating" is actually "bullshitting," and by design AI is a consummate bullshitter. If a human being had an eidetic memory, and was extremely adept at saying the next-most-plausible thing without having the slightest comprehension of what he was saying, we would call that person a bullshitter. So this is a lightning-fast bullshitter which relies on the official reputation of its sources, but also lies at the drop of a hat.
