Cast aluminum is .31 cents per pound and motors/transformers is .10 cents per pound here in the Midwest USA!! You're getting some good prices in Melbourne right now!! GREAT VIDEO BEN!! Have a GREAT Day, My Friend!!!!
I nearly cried when I saw you take the brass and copper pipes to the scrapyard😢. I live to melt that stuff on my channel 😔. It’s a shame you don’t live closer or I would buy it from you🤔
It must not rain much where you are. You are able to store your scrap outside in bins. Here in southeast texas those bins would be full of water in a week!!. Enjoy your videos!!
How are you doing Eph?? Have seen a comment in a few vids. I know we're coming up to the time of year where he has been known to get 1,000 subs every 4 or 5 days!! I'm hoping that's what happens. As we talked about last September I was thinking he'd hit 100,000 subs in the 1st part of 2020 and you said in 2019, I'M REALLY WANTING YOU TO BE RIGHT!!!! That would be very cool!! Cheers Mate!!!
Greetings 🇺🇸. WOW look@ ur yard. Amazing job u did. I luv ur channel & ur style. Keep being & doing u. U let us know why u pick up ur treasures & what they r & uses. B safe, healthy &blessed
As much as I dont like scrapping big printers out I still do. They take forever but I sell the screws, motors, etc out of them. Around here scrapyards dont even like whole printers. They wont take whole electronics with the steel.
good to see you back ben you shure get a lot of stuff in that van more good info ben and a nice lot of money can you do vid when you weigh your boards in thanks again your the best cheers
Cast & domestic aluminum are not always the same price Ben. You can always call in to your scrap yard & ask them before you start getting them ready to go down there. Just call for those prices & nothing else. That way you'll be surprised along with the rest of us on everything else. 👍💰👍💰👍 I've BEN lovin' BENge watching you so much lately. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ May God Bless you ALWAYS! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm not sure what country you're in but in the US the steel shred price is very similar.but I did notice something you're very lucky to be able to take rims that have rubber tires on them in the u.s. you're not allowed to do that they don't allow it. You have to separate the tire from the rim the tires got to go to the landfill. Another thing that I noticed is that you had computer chips or also known as green board or also known as breadboardsleft in some of those things that you were throwing out for steel why didn't you separate that and turn in your computer chip separately here in the US it's paying about $0.10 a pound my shred steel is paying about 3.5 cents a pound.
I wanted to add, about the electric motors of fans and vacuum cleaners, in the old models copper was used in the winding, and now the Chinese are wound with aluminum, as in vacuum cleaners and fans, even in the power cords of copper, there was copper-plated steel. I even met aluminum wires with copper-plated copper.
hey ben nice to see you cashing in on a small fraction of your stash mate could do with a house brick to pop in each empty tower case at 10c a kilo price lol looking forward to seeing what you find street scrapping
Great video Ben. Love trying to figure out what all this would be here in America but one thing I know for sure is that scrapping in Australia is easier than the United States
Vid Vulture mentioned once about how you will pronounce copper like Americans n I finally heard you do it and brass too. That was the funniest thing in days. Awesome job 😂😂
awwwwwwwwwww BEN u finally spilled the beans! ahahahahaha your making mad BANK my dude thats a whole lot of money!! ooof u having lots of fun right now
My local yard here (in USA) wouldn't take that much plastic (ABS), as in printers, etc. and consider it steel. And tires are a definite no-no, (rims are ok) -- in fact we have to Pay to get rid of tires! Our electronic waste doesn't get bought here at my yard, but we can take it to the state recycle facility all-of-a-piece (aka printers, keyboards, etc, even after they've been scrapped), plus boards. ABS plastic just goes into regular trash and ends up in a landfill. Good on ya, though, for moving almost a ton of stuff!
I myself collect motherboards, processors, video cards, he boards of hard drives, from drives and wait for gold. They accept cards from mobile phones well.
New Jersey (us) prices are shit . Look up Rockaway Recycling in Rockaway New Jersey they pay better prices than most. You will enjoy checking out there prices. You are the king pal
my family and i own a scrap yard our prices differ abit here in mildura vic brass is 3.80/kg no 1 copper is 5/kg millberry is 5.50/kg extruded 1.00/kg batteries .45c/kg steel 0.6/kg low grade icw .80c/kg motors 40c/kg
Of all that stuff into the scrap yard[s] in this upload it is all drawn from different pick ups and hard rubbish runs which might have been from 2 years or 8 months ago or from just week or whenever. No single pick up or hard rubbish run is in that lot in its entirety but the entirety of that lot would almost certainly be more than the equivalent of any singe pick up or hard rubbish run. It is all a matter of sifting to get the correct product in the right volumes.
Let me start by saying you are among my favorite and I learn from you,I don't know how to suggest this any other way so hear I go, This is strictly a suggestion and nothing more, it is not meant to be any type of criticism and I'm sure you must get a lot of them, you might would like to watch BigstackD if you do not already, he melts his on bars and he's pretty good.
I wonder how you take copper wires, cables in isolation or without, firing in a fire is probably prohibited. We burn, laid a fire near our garage for 10-20 minutes and you're done.
My heart almost skipped a beat. I saw 10c and was thinking even converting to US wow then I realized it was Kilo's so 2.2pound so that is about 3.5 to 4c a pound. ouch about what it is here sadly. That seemed to really beat you up (by your breathing) I am guessing its stupidly hot their ?
@ 28 27.... BRASS KEY'S THERE..... THIS BEING BACK IN JULY OF 2019.... I'M WONDERING WHAT THEY R GOING FOR PER POUND THERE............?? & R ALL NORMAL EVERY DAY MODERN KEYS OUT THERE R THEY ALL USUALLY BRASS....... IF NOT WHAT ONES USUALLY R NOT...... & WHAT R THEY MADE OF THEN........
dammmmmn those copper heat sinks. I wish you were in the US I would pay you double scrap for those copper heat sinks. I use them for cooling LED projects. Hard to find here in the US I only ever find aluminum sinks of hybrid/hedatpipe sinks. almost never the delicious all (or mostly) copper sinks.
I'm guessing they make the copper heatsink fins with a different alloy in order to make it easier to manufacture. The stiffer fins also hold up better rather than being bent/crushed. They should sell on eBay at a decent price. You mentioned the postal prices for shipping are bad. Perhaps you can do a pickup only listing. It kills me to see that bike all the time. Sell it! $100 minimum.
Isn't there a battery specialist around? We have one, and the local scrapyards send people there if they don't want to handle batteries. Premium price and no limits on quantity. If thieving wasn't such a problem round here, I'd save 50 at a time and take them in.
I watched your video when you arrived at a landfill and unloaded computers, laser printers, LCD monitors from the trunk of the monitor. The monitors are whole, the matrices are not broken, and probably they are working, and you are in metal, this is not a reasonable solution. We if such monitors are thrown away, as a rule, with broken matrices or broken electronics, for me it was a shock, they just threw it into the scrap, and laser printers do the same.
I keep getting recommended old videos even though I've watched them, all good, always enjoyable to watch 😊👍👍👍👍
Its so satisfying watching you throw stuff from your van on to the floor
Cast aluminum is .31 cents per pound and motors/transformers is .10 cents per pound here in the Midwest USA!! You're getting some good prices in Melbourne right now!!

Have a GREAT Day, My Friend!!!!
After converting kg to lb and aud to usd he us getting 0.46 USD/lb

The way u stack & pack, that's an awesome job. Mr. Scrappity better watch out.

Nice haul as usual! It's always a relief when you cash in! Then it's like oh no I gotta fill them bins!!!!!
Keep up the great work ben!🦹🏼♂️

Hey Ben, I'll take your overflow boards! lol. You do a great job, thanks for keeping this stuff out of the landfills.
I saw an awful lot of plastic in those printers. You’re lucky they take that. Also the tire on the rim is a no go here in the USA.
You're doing great work for the environment!
Nice work mate! The prices in Melbourne are always a lot better than Perth.
How are you doing Eph??

I loved this video, thanks for making it! I'm excited for you to get rid of those boards, that must be a nice pay out as well! ;)
That would be an amazing video to see all the the binds you have of wire process and being sold that would be a really cool video to watch

THE COATING ON THE HEAT SINK R FOR 2 THING ONE WAS FOR BETTER HEAT TRANSFER AND TO STOP IT FROM CROYDON THE METAL

You will have to change your name to Ewaste bins soon lol
Man these kind of videos make me desperate for you to have a clear out. Think about all the money sat in these boxes! Get it cashed in :)

G'day, Ben. Here in Pompano Beach Florida, Steel is around $.05 per pound. Whole computers, $.07 per pound.
👍nice payout can’t wait to see what the bin of laptop boards brings👍

Hi Ben do the yard take the plug prongs with the insulation on them in mixed or plumbers brass
Yeah they do in a mixed lot, they don't really add any weight

A hand manual hydraulic forklift could be useful instead of those ramps, saves breaking your back every time you load the van
Love your videos man, been fallowing you for a long time.
i think he is the n 1 in this work
In New Hampshire USA I am only getting .02/lb for pressing steel :-(
Australian currency is worth less than the dollar. His pressing Steel is probably like $.03
You sort aluminum at hime into 3 varieties and tell us the diff prices but dump in the same tub at scrap yard. Why sort if you combine later?
13:15 Are there drainage holes in the orange bins?
Oh mr heart nearly finished lol

not much more here , in your Australia dollars it be 115 or 80 usd for the same amount of metal
You’ve walked by the circuit boards 6 times ben. Load them up
Who else finds it satisfying and stress relieving to throw their scrap steel into the pile at the scrapyard?
good thing you did not have a flat tire on the run, it would have been a pin in the arse to get the spare out.
Blimey Ben you need a lie down and a few beers after throwing all that steel around. 💪 Great video as always👍🐓🐓🐓🐓
Great video!!!!
love it
Hello man! Good job! 👍
Also are empty towers worth putting on the Facebook marketplace ? Just wondering it it would be more profitable
You need to hire an intern...where do i sign up
my yard said the prices of steel will go up next month........sure hope so.
How do you find all the computer and components
Do you ever go to Knox recycle centre? Land of fires?
Our local scrapyards limit us to 2 batterys a day.

Did you Know Mike the Scavenger Who lives in Texas
Why you not separating the plastic from the metal
Aren't they supposed to weight the steel to know how much money to give you? Why do you just throw it on the ground mixed with other stuff?
scrap steel, you weigh the whole vehicle in and out
Thank for sharing,
You have made me begin my scrapping adventures. Check out a video of mine sometime,
Keep up the good work!
How do you stop people from stilling from you backyard?
I have guard chickens
Why a van? The wheel is on the wrong side
How did the school start giving you all the computers and where do you take your circuit boards? I live in kansas
Brikley save Jake Stewart ricycing Bek page
dont the scrap yards publish price lists on line??
No, prices change weekly and they don't like to show prices to their competition
Recon most if not all plugs from cord are all brass? New to identifying stuff but is there a good way to know? In the states here
almost all prongs are brass, yep.
