Also, I now have an Amazon storefront where I share links to assorted tools & equipment I use and recommend. As well, I'll be adding links for various supplies and products used in my videos as time goes on. Even if you purchase something on Amazon totally unrelated after entering through one of my links, it really helps support my channel with a small commission.. and it costs you nothing extra at all! 😊👍
Thanks for watching!

The collaboration we've all been waiting for!
Yep, a thumbs up was the best I could get! 🤣
Nice! $30k from the backyard is awesome. Have a good weekend! 👍😁
Thanks! You too Geoff! 👍😁
Nearly 20t out of landfill, $30,000 and 10k subscribers! Congratulations Chris. All the best for Wednesday mate.
Thanks mate! 😁
Great logic regarding the storage shed. Love it. Take good care of yourself and look forward to watching you go-go-go and then recover.
Thanks Shane! 😊👍
Also glad you got a little bit for the plugs. Just a very little bit. Lol. But at least they are in the recycle stream.
Yep, exactly. Thanks for the idea! 👍😊
I hope yo do not get bored while recouvering. I really think you and Christine are interesting people. I do not even know why your channels showed up here! i do not sew or scrap.I do not know, of people where I live who play ping pong, except maybe kids in a basement of their home. I live in Al, I love it, its my home, so green! I love seeing your trees and houses, how it is where you are. We are all just trying to survive and hopefully we find bits of happiness along the way. Good luck to you both!
Many thanks SS and we both appreciate all of your comments! 👍😊
Another great video Chris. Liking this mini series. That was a fantastic payout to take you over 30K, and getting 22.5 cents for the plugs, bonus. 👍
Yeah - certainly can't complain about the return from my hoarding ....err, stacking! 😉🤣
I am a sucker for clean up videos, I love to organize. Glad to hear your shoulder will be getting some attention.
It seems many enjoy a good clean-up vid! 👍😊
Congratulations on 10K . Keep up the good work .
Thanks Dee! 20k here I come..
Very nice. Good choice on avoiding getting a yard. There's plenty an old guy with worn out shoulders can do for the next few decades. Looking forward to it.
Exactly mate - I doubt I'll run out of things to do! 😁
Good luck for your surgery 👍😀😀
Thanks Nate 😊👍
When you hit 20,000 kg you hit 44,092 us pounds that's just over 22 us tons wow that a lot if stuff and an awesome nest egg. I would continue to save the copper and brass but any ally I would turn it in as soon as you get it unless the prices go up high again. And it was nice to see Ewaste Ben's thumbs up.
Yeah certainly a lot of metal! The trouble with turning a little bit in is that it's a long way to the scrap yard!
@@TheUltimateRecycler yeah that would be a problem.
Well done😊😊
Thanks John! 👍
Another good trip down town. I cut the brass pins off the plugs with a battery grinder as I get them, rather than ending up with buckets of plugs.
Yep, I know many scrappers who just do them as they go - it saves the hassle of a large pile to process!
What a fantastic payday!
Yeah, I had quite a few good paydays back then while doing my "Great backyard clean-up" episodes..
Great day doing the scrap run !!!
E waste was a surprise !!!
Getting rid of the copper and other scrap must be a big relief 😅 that’ it’s finally gone
Well done 👍
Thanks Faye! I thought the copper was all gone, but found more today!! 😲😁
Another good haul to the scrap yard and that sounds fair enough about not getting a yard. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Lucas! I may still buy one - it just depends on the day! 🤣
All the very best for the surgery and please take it easy, you heal faster that way.
Congrats on the 10k subscribers!
Thanks Sabine. I do plan to take it easy! 😊
That was awesome and also bizare seeing you at Ben's place, I love watching my favourite RUclipsrs meet, even if we only saw his famous hand lol! Nice board pay! If you were so inclined, I'm sure you could sell your plugs for more to a micro scrapper who may enjoy breaking them down for their true value. I'm sure bigStackD would rise to the challenge and melt them into something interesting if he could get a load like that too. Wishing you all the best for your shoulder op!!
Thanks Sollers! As space is now much more a consideration, I won't bother saving plugs in the future! Only the good stuff from now on! 😁
Great vid mate. Nice to see Ben in the video also. $30k is great and also makes me want to accumulate even more 🤣🤣. All the best with surgery 🤞
Haha, and you have more property to fill than I did mate! Go for it! 🤣🤣
About making Plug Soup to recover the brass and copper, I use an electric hot plate but the roof is full of solar panels so it doesn't cost that much, it does however take some time.
If you have to live from what you make scrapping it's probably not worth the time. I am a hobby scrapper and metal caster so for me it is. If anyone is wondering about it: Look up Plug Soup on YT 👍
Thanks Ralph, yes it certainly does depend on your motivation to salvage the metals 👍😊
Thank you
Thanks Cynthia 😊
Nice video
Thanks 😊👍
You are right to be proud of yourself, saving so much from landfill, and especially when you were under the pump to get so much done. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the way things have panned out for you and the future. Maybe during the time it takes to look after your shoulder, after the operation, will be your practice run for scaling down on scrap etc.
It sure will be a practice run Katrina! And a lot of time to plan strategies for the future 👍😊
Great video new friend here
Thanks BigRed! Welcome! 😊👍
Yes the time is now to give those shoulders a break from heavy lifting. Get it fixed and look after them.
Agreed! 😊
👍👍👍👍👍👍 great video mate, I'm in Sydney, take care of those shoulder of your, I have the same problem too and it hurts but the stupid doctor say every thing is fine.
Thanks Pierre! 👍 Maybe insist on some scans. A ultrasound is all you need to show what's wrong..
@@TheUltimateRecycler I did the scan and everything is find but it still hurt 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫👍👍👍👍👍👍
good to see the results of dealing with ewasteben.
I was working with someone a few years ago who was collecting "stacking"(as Ben says) copper at one point and asked if it would been better to cash it more regularly to invest in different things? that went down a giant rabbit hole of interest rates, value of money/inflation, actually doing something better with the cash once sold and all kinds of what ifs.. eg, was the copper worth more to you back 10yrs ago in what you could buy with it than it's $$ value now. like 10kg copper = a fuel tank of fuel back then, Vs same now? or similar. or invested in some shares or similar.. there goes that rabbit hole opening up again.
Those sure are deep rabbit holes Dean! Some good discussion points though on stacking or selling 👍
10K subs. Wow
Yeah, I'm pretty chuffed with the milestone! 😁
👍
Thanks Marcia 👍😊
Your poor shoulders! You do your name proud as the ultimate recycler ♻️
Thanks Jenny 😊👍
I just pull the pins as I go so they don't build up
That's the best idea if you are going to save the pins, for sure! 👍
I think it's both the age AND the mileage!
You could be onto something there Greg! 😱
Ewaste Ben I reckon he's the crt destroyer. Better keep his location secret before the collectors catch up up to him lol
Hahaha.. yep, he's been know to destroy a few nice crts! 😲
@@TheUltimateRecycler Don't think I haven't noticed the RGB scart one in your shed. I see you are looking after it :)
@@Jasonsadventures Haha, eagle-eye Jason! 😁
@@TheUltimateRecycler Now his recent video showed up on my feed and I had to endure watching him talking crap about low grade and mid grade boards while throwing about 200 bucks worth of ICs in the bin lol. Should be banned from owning a screwdriver
@@Jasonsadventures Yeah he has been picked on many times for trashing an item worth hundreds for five bucks worth of scrap - but then, he probably makes a grand out of the video!
Hi there, I'm just wondering, why are most of austalians says Yeah almost all the time? Nice video. 😀
Haha, good question - yeah! 😉🙄
Thanks for watching!
I think your plan to focus on copper and brass etc, means you can keep your hand in without the volume and weight of steel etc makes a look of sense... good for your health and your wealth.
Sounds like a workable plan to me Martin! 😁👍
Second
You're slipping Silver Scorpion LOL.
Got pipped this time SS! 🤣
First this time.
Well done Glen! 🤣
So how much tax you have to paid to save the planet 😄😄😄😄😄😄 only country you have to pay tax to recycle, some countries pay you to help to recycle 👍👍👍👍👍👍 to those countries
Yeah, good point Pierre - maybe there should be a recycling tax credit here! I'd vote for that! 👍👍
