Jiayuguan | The Great Wall

We have had many unforgettable experiences along the Ming Great Wall of China but in this episode we reach the end and finish our journey. There is nothing disappointing about the final stretch as we pass the Overhanging Wall with immense desert views, through to the Jiayuguan Fort, the most impressive we have seen along the Wall and end up at a cliff where the Wall just stops. For any Great Wall enthusiast, as we have become, this section is a must!

Ahh you guys cheated by flying! Being iron men and all, thought you were going to cover the whole thing over land making it into an amazing documentary. Great nonetheless.

Oh we would have have loved to have done that but it takes months we don’t have right now. We did have trains booked rather than flying but unfortunately they were cancelled a few days before. Would have been nice to at least travel along the wall by land.
