Funny he says that. The car is listed at a ridiculous price, and is currently listed at auction with several disclosed error codes, albeit generic codes from the auction meaning it probably has dozens of BMW specific error codes stored. It also has many other issues documented that he doesn't even mention in the video. This is reference from the auction inspection report on that car:
Emissions P013E O2 Sensor Delayed Response - Rich to Lean Bank 1 Sensor 2
-- Pressure Too Low in High-Pressure System (Bank 1)
      Emissions P142E Cylinder Injection Cut-Off
Emissions P2297 O2 Sensor Out of Range During Deceleration Bank 1 Sensor 1
Emissions P2419 EVAP System Switching Valve Control Circuit Low
This car is far from fixed. I'm not sure why he is pretending everything was good after he cleared the codes? He didn't even mention that the car basically failed inspection and will not be covered for return to the auction for any of the above listed issues. This car may as well be as-is at the auction.

You take dental floss & heat it up like you did and then just run dental floss behind it. That pulls the glue, the "M" or whatever else you want removed. Pulls everything off and doesn't damage the paint. Just thought I'd share that with you.

As a dealer, I have gone through arbitration a few times. Usually the car is being auction off greenlight… which of course means it’s good to go and then when I go to pick it up, there’s an issue and I usually try to handle it before I even leave the lot. A lot of times the Auction house will not even take it back if you leave the lot with it so it’s important to check it out thoroughly do as much as you can on the auctions property. That way you can just hand them the keys and say NOPE

I have been in the car/RV business for 30 years, and what I have found it that some dealerships are a little confused about what info they can divulge. What they can not share is past customers personal info. But nothing should stop them what repairs have been done. I've never owned a BMW, and although I like the idea of owning one, I don't think my heart could handle it. I have owned a vehicle that never stopped having issues though and now I have PTSD for any car noises, especially when taking long trips. It was a Volvo wagon. It hadn't been maintained well and had 121k on it when I bought it. It was like peeling the onion of problems. Fixed a few problems and more showed up. After spending way more money than I should have I was still having issues where it was in the shop once a month. I ended up starting Door Dash and Uber Eats deliveries and was doing it with this car, but between it being down and the bad gas mileage I decided to give up on it and sold it (in decent working order) for a newer hybrid for better gas mileage. Sold the old car for $6k and paid $6k plus taxes for the hybrid. Put $800 into repairs on the hybrid and haven't had any other issues with this car. But anytime I hear anything odd now with either of my vehicles I think it's about to fall apart.

After the car was off for a while the oil would slowly drain out of it I guess and be fine again. Cleaned it out much like you did, and it was great for 3 or 4 days but then back to the same problems again. Replaced it with a new one and the issue never came back. Seems that cleaning them is a very short term fix. Good luck with the auction!

Two things I've heard about that might be helpful. The variable timed BMW's do not like the standard oil change interval, and this is since they came out with them in the '90s. I think they run them until 10k on the OCI, and by then you're getting varnish and carbon buildup in the engines, especially on the turbocharged ones. You're lucky if you make it to 100k miles before they have problems doing that OCI. Reduce that down to 5k and always run full synthetic. It's expensive because they also have huge sumps in them with lots of capacity. IIRC the V8 I did an oil change on for my buddy's 5 series was 7 quarts, part of the reason the engineers think it's okay to run extended OCI's, but it's not. It's a BMW, they're expensive to maintain. Change the oil more often. It's cheaper than replacing the engine, and you could see quite a bit of build-up on those solenoids when you took them out to clean them, which proves my point. Another product owners might want to look at doing at like 50k intervals or so is running the Valvoline Restore and Protect for an oil change or two. It's supposed to do what your Amsoil flush does, remove carbon and varnish, but you get a whole oil change cycle of that, and it's designed to remove carbon and varnish gradually so you don't run globs of trash through your engine all at once and mess up things like your vvt solenoids or plug up the oil feeds to your turbos. I don't know if the N63 would be helped from that, but I do remember in my research that owners of the S62 had good luck doing it.

I've owned three BMW's with the N63TU engines. The first one (2013 650 Gran Coupe) I had for 6 months before BMW bought the car back. Everything you have experienced in this series of videos I had with that car. In the mean time, I had purchased another BMW (2014 X5) that lost it's mind and after they repaired it started to burn oil. BMW ordered me a new BMW (2015 650 Gran Coupe) to replace the first car which ended up keeping a year and hardly drove because I was basically traumatized from the first two experiences. I've own nothing but BMW since but only the straight six engines and they have been bullet proof. Never, ever, ever own a BMW with a V8 engine or any V configuration engine for that matter.

Yikes! Just yikes. A Law? Really? Come On! BMW obviously doesn't know what the KISS method is. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
