Sorry but you never answered the question...The deal is that you are using a system that only uses USB 3.0 drivers but Wndows 7 does not include any. Just adding them to the ISO image does not install the drivers. As soon as you installed Windows, you had a mouse. I knew you did not solve the problem. BAD TITLE - Wrong answer

Many thanks on creating this very helpful video. I could not run the repair windows utility from my cd because it did not have usb drivers. I searched all over google for info on how to make just this sort of usb drive. All the info I found on this issue was so confusing and no one provided links to the drivers and software like you did. This does not work on a workstation with only USB 3.0. The only reason it worked on your laptop is the mouse and keyboard are integrated. This is NOT how you insert a USB 3.0 driver into a Windows installation. This is just copy and paste onto the thumbdrive....
For those who have issues with the usb drivers not working in winwows 7, here is my solution. I personnally run the computer on windows 10 with both windows 7 and Windows 10 installed on separate drives (win10 and 11 have preinstalled working usb drivers), then i copy all the folders with names starting with "usb" from C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository in windows 10-11 and paste them at the same location on the windows 7 drive, replacing files if necessary. This solution might not be ideal but at least you got something to start with.

At 3:48 you would have LOST ALL MOUSE AND KEYBOARD if your laptop was USB 3.0 only. But, your mouse and keyboard are on a USB 2.0 bus, so that is the only reason your shit still works during the install. You DID NOT integrate the 3.0 driver into the Windows installation, you just copied the driver to your thumbdrive. Any 5 year old can do that.
