      Lisa, 60 acres is a lot to handle - and by yourself seems very challenging. That would be very difficult - but God doesn’t give us anything we can’t bear! ..at least that’s what I’ve heard said. I’m always a season (or two) behind as well!

    People stacking wood usually turn the wood the opposite way every other tier on the ends so there's no pressure on the end posts.

    Sometimes everyday life and time gets away from us so a temporary solution or band-aid is needed. I'm sure everything will be alright.. at least it's stacked nicely lol.     Working with firewood is a very hard job, my husband has to work with it too, as it is our only heat source. I would get him to go shirtless, only instead of a six pack, I get the middle age spread to drool over.... LOL.. Bless his heart, he works hard for an almost 70 year old man... and I do love the old fart...LOL... I wish we had a farm like you have, it is soo beautiful, and your children will have many happy memories I'm sure... Noah is sure a cutie... God Bless. 😺

    Ive heated my home with wood for years ..so I can relate to the drain of stacking…I did 4 cords of wood so far this year…with probably 2 more to go…. I start in the Spring and do a cord about every other month..weather permitting….I stack what doesn’t fit in the woodshed on pallets and cover with tarps. Although must be a bigger challenge taking care of baby 😌…btw nice job! Happy stacking! 😊

    I hate chopping and stacking wood. Its goto be done but its backbreaking. My hubby has bought me a log splitter as he says im really dangerous with an axe 😂. When im sitting in my lounge with a open fire roaring away its all worth it. X

      I find it very relaxing.
      So dangerous with an axe that he had to purchase an industrial grade machine for your own safety!!

    Stack the wood, drape the wood. undrape the wood, cut the wood and then store it. Rinse and repeat.

    Hey Byron, enjoying the vids. Do you have enough wood collected for winter? Looks like a lot. Do you get the trees off the property? Did you use a chain saw to cut it to the right length? Also, does it have to dry out before using? I'm picturing the warms cozy fires.

      Mice for sure, but Kaino handles that. I have yet to run into a rat. And snakes are everywhere but they’re just little duffers I pick them up and they hang out with you no problem!
