I sometimes wonder if people around the world have the same experience as Erik? I'm by no means as skilled as Erik but as a Finn I have lived and live in this world. Any Finns here that can identify with what I just mentioned? Any people outside us Nordics that don't identify with nature - being with nature as one?

I don't know if you're Nordic but Erik is just awesome. He is basically what my grandpa was, what my father partially is, what I could be. I'm a lapsed Finnish guy using my life for IT instead of the important things that Erik does. If I would ever have had a friend like Erik..... He is just such an awesome Nordic guy. If I didn't know better I would say he'd be a Finn😉
It is kind of a relief to finally see some of the mishaps in your efforts. Everything I attempt to do ends up splitting or I make a wrong cut..etc. Everything you appeared to do was perfect the first time....every whack of the axe landed exactly where you wanted it. Up to this point, nothing split or went wrong. "Wrong" seems to be my middle name when I try to do what you have done and I envied you for that. Now I see that it happens to you too and it makes me feel like I'm not alone in that. I've watched all your videos of your building project and have greatly envied your determination and talent for getting it done. You have done much to be proud of and I'm happy for your successes. I wish there were more people like yourself. Thank You for making these videos....they are an inspiration. This message comes to you form the southern most part of the state of Missouri in the U.S.A.

The most famous handmade hut in the known galaxy and hardly anyone knows where it is. The Santa Claus and some kind of Rudolph probably live nearby. Nobody knows for sure. In any case, Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Watching Erik work and seeing the fruits of his labors feeds my soul.
