The pure definition of "the line of work does not define the person". Either that, or he wanted to return to some decent ways and couldnt leave the bad business at the time. As sad as the reality is that there are kids that don't get raised well, or even at all, by their parents, they'll see the simplest acts of kindness that random strangers give and remember them forever. Personally, I prefer the alternate ending to this manga. Some people stay rotten to the core, and others, still got that glimmer of light.

The pure definition of "the line of work does not define the person". Either that, or he wanted to return to some decent ways and couldnt leave the bad business at the time.
As sad as the reality is that there are kids that don't get raised well, or even at all, by their parents, they'll see the simplest acts of kindness that random strangers give and remember them forever.
Personally, I prefer the alternate ending to this manga. Some people stay rotten to the core, and others, still got that glimmer of light.

@@ivoluis7444 The Yakuza actually do public works programs from time to time. That way when they run drug rings the authorities sometimes look the other way. Or the people involved and who were saved step up for them. Most construction work is yakuza involved.
