I did this, and it worked, but whenever I try to align it to the main body it flies off to the middle of nowhere. It aligns properly until I select OK in the align window, then it's all of a sudden on the other side of the map.... 😖

Is there a way to use the 2nd method but "Paste" instead of "Paste-NEW"? I'd like to be able to correct/update the one component file and automatically update all assembly files.

Excellent explaination .If for example you are drawing a box van & you draw the end as a new component can you then export that separately to use in another model & how do you ensure the imported component comes in the correct scale ?
