Webster Magneto hit and miss engine

I have a Webster L12 Magneto on the shelf that goes on my Hercules throttle govern engine.
I'm going out in the building here in a little and check that thing make sure it's got those!

The springs are missing two steel bushings. The springs should have the bushings at both ends, not just the outer ends.

They do look like brake shoe springs. When in a pinch it is hillbilly engineering...
