You said it. Cowboy is his name. Never gets old. I heard it as a teenager. I'll be 36 in less than a month. I have 2 published poems. One is really heavy weight title worthy. But it's these moments and others that impacted my love of poetry. Maybe one day I'll write that while book of poetry I dream to write. Search waitin on lane until then. Lol
Have you ever watched tombstone? My favorite part of 8 seconds is the end when he dies, serves him right after making a career out of trying to dominate animals and cheating on his wife. At least Wyatt and doc killed humans and righted some wrongs, this buttplug was just a wanna be cowboy.
Rest in Peace to Luke Perry (played Lane Frost), James Rebhorn (played Lane's dad), Carrie Snodgrass (played Lane's mom), Ronnie Claire Edwards (played Kellie's mom), Goerge Michael (playing himself), and Director John G. Avildsen...
I watched this when I was 5, lane frost was the reason why I started bull riding. Every time I watch this movie I cry. But when I get on that steer I only think of one thing, that I want to be nearly as good as Lane. RIP Lane
my skin goes crazy i ride and believen the same things lane frost did he is the best bullrider in the country and will never be forgot love u lane like a brother
Am I the only one who listens to this every night before they go to bed? If I do pass away in my sleep at least this was my final "prayer" it's so beautiful.
I listen to it too I love it I rode bulls for 2 years being tall I was 6-2 180 when I rode bulls at 19 so I was a little bigger than most of the riders I love rodeo
This was such a heart felt movie. 8 Seconds was so incredible and so very sad. I knew nothing about rodeo until Lane Frost. Always, it seems, when you try your hardest to rectify your wrongs, it can end and for Lane so sadly it did for Kelly, his wife, her family, his family and friends and the world of rodeo. Say I love you
I like to watch that last bull ride with the volume shaking the room. My kids always know when I am watching this part of the movie. THye can feel the room shake.
first off love this movie and this poem. second @707calicowgirl i think you need to check your facts they never had kids. i know this i have actually spoken to lanes father and mother when they came to my town for the lane frost bull riding events. and if your name is brett why is your screan name Calicowgirl? yea didnt think that threw did you
"It's guts and love and glory, one mortal's chance at fame. Rodeo is his legacy, and cowboy is his name." Rest in peace Lane. Your a shining star among the greats of this sport.

Now Lane Frost can tell Luke Perry how well of a great job he did portraying Lane Frost in "8 Seconds".
Lame frost still hears respect from all of us old Cowboys.
