I’m planning to knit a wedding shawl for myself and fell in love with a Haapsalu inspired shawl with over 1200 nupps!!! I was tempted to replace it with pearl beads due to nupp dread but now I’m feel confident and I inspired to honor the beauty of the nupp. Bonus is I’ll be totally proficient by the end of the project lol. Heartbeat by Meeli Vent.
I know you recorded this nine months ago however I just found you a couple days ago in Craftsy and you wanted us to let you know what we were working on and I found Elizabeth Zimmerman‘s books and found her totally fascinating tonight I’m actually finishing my garter stitch Mobius scarf with the eye cord added afterwards and I find it very relaxing and I’ve been working quickly with it thanks to your RUclips channel thank you for all your information you share so generously 😉
I am so glad you showed yourself dropping the purl part of "nupping" and the recovery. I love nupps and learned how to do them years ago from Nancy Bush.
Oh how I wish you'd posted this 10 years ago. I was a new knitter (3 years) making lace shawls and I did one with nupps and beads. It came out gorgeous but I think I taught myself a whole new language!
🤣🤣🤣 Think most techniques one is new to like to do that. I certainly wound up creating some rather... Vulgar terms when I was starting to learn how to cable. They've Unfortunately stayed part of my workaday vocabulary.
I love the fact that I started following you online from a pineapple bag and now can listen to you vividly demonstrate what had been static words and pictures.
Thanks for teaching us how to knit nupps! I've passed over patterns with them because I thought it would be to difficult. I was so surprised to see how simple they are!
This was very interesting. I have done bobbles before, but not nupps. Seems like the nupps are easier: no turning the work in the middle of the row. Thank you! 🙂
I was 75% into my project when I happened upon your tutorial. I did not like how some of my nupps were "bulging" on the wrong side, so I searched again and found your nupp technique: I like it the best! So now I will frog and start over. I was using Juniper Moon Findley, but could you please suggest a more suitable lighter/finer yarn? I will readjust the gauge as needed. Thank you very much!
Oh wow! How cool is that! I've never heard of nupps. I really like them! Thank you for this outstanding tutorial ❤️
Hello!
I am so glad I found your channel! Now if you will excuse me I have to go watch the rest of you
videos.
I just love listening to your teaching - so calm and encouraging. Makes one want to drop current project and get nupping!
Thanks for the reminder. I'm about to start working again on my Forest Path Stole and I'm on a Nupp block.
I don't ever knit shawls well because I never wear them. But I love this and really hope to apply it and start learning to use it.

My goodness. Wow!!! Never thought it was that easy. I'm working on a project that takes knopps. Is amazing. Love it. Thank you.

That was so helpful! Thank you
Love this! Great tutorial!
Thanks so much for this. I've used these in the past, but didn't know their name. (Is it admissable for Scrabble?)
I like big nupps and I can not lie
I got to 5:00 what if I screw up the nupp? Drop some of the yo’s or drop a stitch? How do I recover? Or must I go back to the previous row?.
Wow now teach bobbles
Oh wrong spell the word "knupps"
