Yes, it is on RUclips because I recorded it from TV in 1986 with my Stereo Hi-fi Betamax recorder and digitalize it and upload it on RUclips. And I like to share what I have. That way, it is not lost. I'm glad you like it.
When I was attending 6th grade at Rancho Verde' Elementary School in Apple Valley, California this song would play on the bus's radio during the ride to school.
This was perfect that way ......Solid Gold was not a live TV show. This give us the opportunity to heard the song from the original studio recording with the artist ''live'' on stage.
Been a fan since December 1967. It's 2024 and nealy 57 years later. Ticket arrived in the post to be amazed yet again by the God of Hellfire again soon.
Arthur Brown probably influenced Ian Gillian (Deep Purple). At some moment , voice is very similar to Ian Gillian's voice (for example "Speed King" from In Rock Album). This guy is crazy (helmet on fire on his head seen on some old video) but this music is awesome
💯 I can hear the passionate wailing in Ian's voice. I think this song also influenced the organ playing of John Lord. Listen to Deep Purple's Sweet Child in Time. Also check out Gillan's wailing as Jesus on the Decca version of Jesus Christ Superstar.
I absolutely love crazy world of Arthur brown that performance was 100 percent too perfect of the original version no way could be that identical after eighteen years of original song

Muchas gracias.
@@harrynewiss4630I can’t be certain in the case of this show, but with a lot of TV shows it was more to do with a decision on the part of the TV company and not the artist. It made recording faster, and therefore cheaper, if they didn’t have to wait for bands to properly set up, do sound-checks etc, record and then clear off for the next band. It also meant that the sound engineers only had to worry about getting the presenter’s mic right and not worry about the sound of the band performing. British TV show Top Of The Pops routinely used to do this as a matter of policy. A lot of bands resented having to mime and Ive even seen some who deliberately clowned around or mimed badly to highlight how ridiculous they thought it was. I would have preferred to see Arthur Brown sing live in this footage, but it’s not necessarily his fault that he didn’t.
I saw him last night, he's 82 years old and still a boy
I remember waiting to watch my father in this when I was a little girl. This is great the whole thing is here on RUclips now.

@@TigrisTiroux incredible work. It looks amazing!
Please explain, how was your father in this?
@@chrisfernald-cd7erListen to the lyrics. I think you’ll find the answer there.
Are you saying your father is Mr. Brown or one of the other fellows?
This guy is wonderful. Be it in 1968, 1986, or in 2024. A talent is a talent. Thanks for the video, precious stone.

bad ass song. I just discovered this masterpiece (Oct 2023)
My friend...where have you been? Asleep all these years perhaps??
That whole album kicks butt.
"Time captives" - pure masterpiece of mastermind!
Check out Atomic Rooster. The band former by their original organ player after his stint with Arthur Brown. Good stuff.

Fantastic singer and performer.
You are right !
Thank you so very much for sharing this incredible video with me and everyone. What a performer and also a very intelligent person. With gratitude.😊

One of the great songs and performances from Rock!!! I was stunned the first time I saw it as a teenager and still 'am!! Thanks for posting.

@@TigrisTirouxLip syncing was common on TV back then. The cameras had glass tubes, and loud music would distort the video. TOTP and AB did it too.
