    Arthur Brown probably influenced Ian Gillian (Deep Purple). At some moment , voice is very similar to Ian Gillian's voice (for example "Speed King" from In Rock Album). This guy is crazy (helmet on fire on his head seen on some old video) but this music is awesome

    • @JohnSox
      @JohnSox 2 месяца назад

      💯 I can hear the passionate wailing in Ian's voice. I think this song also influenced the organ playing of John Lord. Listen to Deep Purple's Sweet Child in Time. Also check out Gillan's wailing as Jesus on the Decca version of Jesus Christ Superstar.

    Aquí un ejemplo al que llaman nacido de psicodelia, lo cual yo no lo creo así exactamente, que pasase por ese tiempo si, pero hoy en 2024 muchos y el triple de jóvenes ya están hundidos en la psicodelia y no la han vivido y probablemente no vivan o se acerquen a su edad y mucho menos con esa energía, lo del mensaje que de es lo de menos mientras el hombre parece ser agradecido y los demás se lo agradecen, el mensaje seguro no es lo que los demás entiendan, en mi caso lo oí de una remesa de LP's en el año 1974 exactamente y junto con algunos de los grandes de entonces y como primer disco y además single o y ya moderno a Mari Trini (España) y que sería de su misma edad de este hombre. Y aunque no sabía el nombre de el, recordaba ésta canción entre todas aquellas buenas de esos grupos que ya conocemos, pero a mí la verdad me sonaba a un intérprete descendiente Africano (negro) y por supuesto después de ver a este genial hombre voy a intentar encontrar al caballero negro que interpretó la cancio "diré" de este otro y autor el Sr Brown, encantado de saber de este autor tan curioso. Muchas gracias.

      @@harrynewiss4630I can’t be certain in the case of this show, but with a lot of TV shows it was more to do with a decision on the part of the TV company and not the artist. It made recording faster, and therefore cheaper, if they didn’t have to wait for bands to properly set up, do sound-checks etc, record and then clear off for the next band. It also meant that the sound engineers only had to worry about getting the presenter’s mic right and not worry about the sound of the band performing.
      British TV show Top Of The Pops routinely used to do this as a matter of policy. A lot of bands resented having to mime and Ive even seen some who deliberately clowned around or mimed badly to highlight how ridiculous they thought it was.
      I would have preferred to see Arthur Brown sing live in this footage, but it’s not necessarily his fault that he didn’t.
