I just watched a doc on Bat out of Hell. The Meat Loaf album. His composer, pianist was Jim Steinman. He wrote this. You can’t miss the energy in his music. Meat Loaf also recorded a version of this song. Steinman did another song in Streets of Fire. You can’t miss it. He has a sound of his own.
First movie we watched during RR after we passed out as Marines ..years later this music was blasting in Kandahar from our hummer, missed the years of innocence....truly the world missed what it means to be young n innocent, wars, pronouns, etc people, how did we get to be so " complicated"?...live life as if its your last ,speak blessings n 💗 to all you meet.. especially family.
A favorite of mine since first saw movie maybe 30 years ago. Our local HS had an ambitious and talented vocal music instructor when I and my young family moved here in mid 1990s and he had developed a smaller (not small) performing ensemble that did wonderful "video-style" performances of songs. Always thought they should have created one of this song (which probably was 15 years old by then) - maybe they did before I arrived, but I always sensed, because of the complexities of Steinman's composition, it would have been one kids would have wanted to do year after year, shifting into new "roles" as they progressed, but the teacher went on to bigger, better things within about 3-4 years. One last thing, since the indication is this mixed version between some Fire Inc. concert footage and the film scene was done within the past year, my sense is the male onlooker that's seemingly"offstage" during the Fire Inc. segments actually is a now-much-older Michael Paré, the lead actor (Tom Cody role) from the movie. At least there's a resemblance. In addition, in the late "2 shot" with that male and a woman he chats with, the woman looks very much like Debra Van Valkenbugh, who played Tom's sister who calls him to come save old flame Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) in the movie. They might be shown in a scene from the 2008 sequel "Road to Hell".
This was mixed version of old movieclips from Streets of Fire, (also those concertclips) and new material from Road to Hell. Those are Michael Paré and Debra Van Valkenbugh. Music is original version, not a new version from Road to Hell. This is new version from Road to Hell ruclips.net/video/0ZhqjpSWdrE/видео.html

This is not Fire Inc… the voice behind this song is not one singer, Fire Inc. was a combination of the singing voices of Laurie Sargent and Holly Sherwood, who were billed as such for the 1984 film Streets of Fire. The two were members of the Boston-based new wave band Face to Face, who broke up in 1988.
Sums up the 80's. Soundtracks were bigger hits than the movies themselves. The music to this movie was incredible.

At 2:37 I love the way she sings, with such emotion and passion. Great song and it will always be etched in my memories and heart.
Whoooaaahhhh one of my alltime favorite movies. Wanted to marry Diane Lane already back then...😅😅😅
😂😂😂😂😂😂
So did Tom Cody loved Streets of Fire.
Você e todos os homens daquela época! 😊

The band is Roxy Gunn Project and this song is still amazing. I ❤Streets of Fire and RIP Jim Steinman.
Love this song since I was kid. She looks like Gina Davis. Such Nostalgia. 🔥😎👍❤❤❤❤❤💯

I was 19 years old when I admired Diane Lane. I even cut out her picture from magazines.❤🎉
I am glad to see who actually sang this song...
It's not the voice of the lady of the video
Voz da Laura Sargent, Pandora's Box
I totally agree. There were so many rumors about that. Stevie Nick's was always rumored to be the lead singer.😮
Thanks for this. Nice job! Keep going! Someday u will be somebody! I believe! From Taiwan.
You gotta admit Diane Lane gave the best lip sync of any actress
She does it very well!.. but she is so mind-blowingly beautiful and feminine that one stops watching the lip-sync and grants her everything....

Holly Sherwood
the original singer is merlin martin !
