Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian, public speaker, and writer out of Houston. Ali’s unique style of stand-up began behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories.
People received their first taste of Ali Siddiq when he appeared on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and LIVE FROM GOTHAM, and in 2013 he was named Comedy Central's "#1 Comic to Watch". In 2014, Ali impressed comedy enthusiasts by displaying his ability to captivate an audience with his "Mexicans Got On Boots" tale, descriptive storytelling, with over 15 million views, of a prison riot on THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, the first of three appearances. His stories continued with his HALF HOUR special, which premiered on Comedy Central in the fall of 2016. Immediately following the premiere of that special, Comedy Central offered Ali an hour-special where he performed for inmates live in a Texas jail, sending Ali back to where it all started. The hour special, Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars, premiered in February 2018 on Comedy Central. In 2019, Ali could be seen as a Top 5 finalist on NBC’s BRING THE FUNNY. Most recently, Ali could be seen as a guest on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE.

You right, all my money goes to bills, utilities, car insurance (liability) and what's leftover is maintenance on the vehicle. I don't got money PERIOD and need a job that's at least $20+ for this 20 year old beater!

I can't speak for everyone in their 20's but it took my mom years to trust me and I think that's just instinct. "You're young but also I knew you when you were a baby and you still are a baby to me. I can't imagine you doing anything."
Meanwhile I been talking shit about her driving my whole life. She does the hard braking that makes you move forward in your seatbelt. Every time. In the middle of a sentence, you're flying forward. I saw a comedian do a joke about that once. In fact, she is the reason I drive so well because I never wanted to drive like her.
My children are 38, 35 and 32 (I needed to type up these numbers for my brain is trying to forget the year and ages), when Ali said his children are 23 and 29 I thought "What!? How old is this man? For whatever reason I thought him much younger for I never really looked at his face closely nor looked for any other signs of age. Now that I know he too is a Gen X'er (October 26th 1969 - a year younger than myself) it ALL makes sense! Only difference between him and I, he's male and I never got caught (no prison). I will add this in regards to the subject; children in their 30"s today are NO better and I am NOT a fan! The vast majority of you young folk are doing what my momma taught me NOT to do "Growing up NOT LEARNING a DAMN thing!" or "Stuck on Stupid!" This is NOT to say there is a lack of intelligence, nuh huh! It's to say common sense and wisdom (life experience) is passing you right the F' up! If life experience was a train / bus terminal, ya'll ain't even at the station, leaving us Gen X'ers parents to wonder WHERE the hell are you!?
