Glad I bought a National Cycle universal windshield. It'll fit fine and takes an hour to install. Hope this helps. I hated being beaten down by the wind. Otherwise I love my simple and easy to store and maintain 230l
I've still got it, It's winter up here in canada, I've got the tip and I've rejetted it because it was running reallly lean. I'm probably going to sell it or trade it in next season and get a DRZ400sm.
It's 2023 and I just bought a 2009 230m Supermoto with a 17 inch wheels with less than four thousand original miles first thing I did was stick it in the shop and have them put new adventure big knobbies on it the rear tire is 5 in wide it's going to look awesome and from a 38-inch rear sprocket to a 5 2 tooth rear sprocket in new chain and some brake pads I'll be able to walk through the woods with my bike in first gear slowly and maneuver around trees and Rubble hunting and on adventure hopefully I can still get 55 on the road I haven't rode my bike yet only in the parking lot at the bike shop I drove over 3 hours towards St Louis to go and get this bike and he said they had 10,000 calls on it on Facebook Marketplace just last week towards the end of February 2023 but I'm going to love having this little bike I'm an outfit for adventure saddlebags in a way to haul my bowl my ball or my rifle and a tent excetera Camp gear it will be like a glorified mini bike but awesome adventure perfect little bike for hauling around the country I hope
Great review. I have a 2009....I agree with everything you said. Great small bike...only reason to go bigger, is if you wanted to include a lot of road travel in you adventures.
Wow this video was put out nine years? 2023 and I just bought a 2009 crf230m Supermoto with less than four thousand original miles and it looks like brand-spanking-new I even got a rack in a pod with it doesn't have handguards had the original tires on it and they're made for the highway the bike is super low to the ground and that's why I bought it I drove 3 hours in one way to go and buy this thing they had 10,000 calls on it private owner they held it for me and I had to leave suddenly the next morning early and head out on that 3-hour trip up towards St Louis Missouri and I didn't like doing it but I was looking for a good little bike that my feet would touch the ground on the KLR I had 650 was ridiculously heavy and even everything with lowering links and low-profile seat I still had to jump to one side of the bike at a stop sign I fell down about five times off-road with it it was ridiculous when your feet can't touch the ground on a towel heavy bike. First thing I got was take my bike to the shop I still haven't got it at home and I haven't got to ride it yet except at the shop in the parking lot the first thing we did is we changed out the 38 tooth rear sprocket with a 53 tooth and a new chain and then Adventure tires heavy on off-road Adventure Nobbies and of course the rear brake pads. So I get it down so that I can literally walk slowly with it in first gear through the forest with my gun and Scabbard ready to stop and Fire yes I'm hoping it will still do 55 down the road stock they said it would do 75 or 80 miles an hour which is ridiculously fast yes the tires are big and fat on the 17 inch rims a 5 in wide rear tire in a 4in wide front very nice I'm really looking forward to making this my go to machine to get down to the river and back up in the woods the logging roads and on at Wild Adventures
Varoooom ,looks like fun !!!!! I don't know too much about motorcycles but it looks like a motorcross bikes to me .In California you can't ride on the road. The lil horn beep beeps ; D. too cute, looks cold out though Burrrrrrrrrr and you had jeans on 😲😲😲 I would need something more like snowboarding pants lol ....
looking for one of these for my wife, she is 5'3 so nothing fits her,Sat on this today and she loves it. Now you have had it a while, do you still enjoy/.
SteviePee OutDoorLife I had it for a season and it's a very enjoyable bike. I just needed something more suited for travel. The CRF230's top out around 70mph so you can do it but it's not fun. It also doesn't have enough power to turn 6th so you aren't hurting it any.
I love the old air cooled hondas. My problem with the 230l is the suspension bottoms out too easily. seems kind of silly that my 91 xr250l had better suspension. other than that great bike.
It will hit 110. I ran it at that speed all day, the thing about the old CRF230 is it doesn't have enough power to turn it's final gear. So it doesn't even go near the top of what the gear can do. It will also take quite some time to get to 110 as well...
I have a 2008 just like that I purchased hand guards for it l was told that the handlebars are steel not aluminum do you know which.thanks fellow honda rider
@@Donkula23 put a bigger sprocket on the back you'll have more power and be ideal in first gear for walking with it in the woods slow around trees and obstacles I put a 53 tooth sprocket on the rear of mine and big Nobbies and mine is a230m super moto with the 17in wheels nice and low to the ground man glorified mini bike Adventure
Kinda funny that the guy already traded it it's a good bike. Well it was when I sold it. If you want to hook up with other dual sport riders in the area though, look up enduro north bay.
ive got the same bike, got mine cheap off a mate. Its practically a collectors item, an amazing little bike. people will pay way more for them in good condition.

Ok cool I'm thinking drz too in probably 2 years. Goo videos keep making please:)

+ezfunshine It was actually pretty warm that day lol. I wear jeans on bikes because I don't like rubbing bare skin on exhaust or the moving chain.
Good thoughts, thanks.

can one swap out the shock?
Do you still have this? I got mine last year lt was a 09 with 80 miles on it and it was 2500 I couldn't resist
they still make those
nice vid, if you did go on the highway do you think it could get to 100 km/h

I'm looking at one for $2000 it has 6800 miles and the only mod is an extra pair of lights. Is that a decent price?
should be if it's in good shape and low km's

Stock ones are steel.
is that a locking fuel cap? I can't seem to find one anywhere for my 230L and have had someone put sugar in my tank
It is a locking Cap. Talk to Honda because they are OEM if you have the stock tank.
+Don2323 ok I'll go to the dealer, mine is a bone stock 2008 model
+Don2323 thanks
And its got same perellis thst you put on it
Do you think this could cruise at about 65 mph comfortably?
Bike doesn't make enough power to fully turn it's final gear. It's turning at half of it's RPM's when at 70mph.

yeah first year insurance is pretty shitty, .y first year or two for insurance was $1800
You paid 4 grand for that bike? lol
It had 2k in km's on it and that's certified and taxes.

That bike is not light.
Chris Gordon weighing in at 234lbs... yes it is
@@Donkula23 that is not its weight
For dual sports that is light
