I hate that generosity has been taught to be a sign of deception or entrapment because of the poor actions of others. I carry a backpack filled with water bottles and candy and snacks and cigarettes and medical supplies and hygiene products because I love to give gifts and surprise people with something nice for no reason. But I have to be so absolutely careful about how I do it, there's nothing harmful about offering a cigarette to someone taking out one of their own but trying to give sealed candy to a child is so horribly suspicious even though I just like people to know that the world isn't entirely harsh. generosity and friendliness is now seen as a suspicious thing because of people relentlessly pursuing their self-interest.

There are very few if any items in the style I want in my local shops. I have been shopping online since at least 2007 because I can't find exactly what I want locally. There have been periods where I had no other choice than to thrift because of low income, most of my thrifted clothes and homeware are being thrown out now because I'm buying in clothes and items I truly like and feel comfortable in.
Very little of what I own is from Temu because I heard about this shop just a few months ago, but other online stores I'm buying from like Killstar has also been popular to warn against for at least 7 years now.
Everything I like and feel comfortable with seems to come with a dozens of warning videos and forum posts, sigh. 🙄Despite all the warnings most of my shopping have gone smoothly.

For some reason realistic soft baby dolls were suggested based on the animal male “self time toy”… there were hundreds of listings of realistic silicone babies suggested listed as sex toys. Thank you SO much for making this video! I am HORRIFIED. I had NO idea that Temu scammed people of their money and enforce work slaves. I actually do like Temu bc it is like a 2nd AliExpress to me where I bounce back and forth on both apps if I can’t find the item I want/need. But today, I am going to delete my information and the Temu app. Thank you again, Ashley! 💞💞

I never bothered with Temu when it first came out, because I was skeptical of the whole, getting stuff at really cheap prices kind of thing. Just seemed really weird to me. That and I don't really buy a whole lot of things online. If I can't get it in my area then year, but otherwise I just got to the store.
I have recently watched videos such as thing one about the shady practices and I am glad I never shopped at Temu.

Subscribed because, while I don’t understand what “campy” means, you brought out the economic sense and talked about something that most people have put down.

Wow, it’s almost like giving your credit card information to a shady Chinese company that spies on you and steals your information is a bad idea.

Yes temu can have horrible products and questionable labor ethics but as a teen girl who lives in a wealthy neighborhood with her 2 immigrant parents it can be difficult to buy things when we dont have much money my mother much rather spend less money on somthing to make me happy even if it isnt the best of quality its hard seeing your friends with luxury items and being able to leave the house not worrying what you will have to eat when your out because it may be all you can afford in summary temu can be good but also bad but i feel like shaming people who use it dosent have benifits instead we should educate them and let them decide what to do which is what your doing here and i appreciate that! I love your videos keep up the amazing work!🥰

I will always support videos speaking against Temu. It frustrates me so much when I see videos like “I bought things from Temu so you didn’t have to.” They’re all the same. It’s one of two reactions every time, “wow this is better than I expected” or “wow this is terrible, just like I expected”. And then they just write it off on their taxes because it was for a video.

This was the first video I watched on your channel. I really like the way you talked about it, in a simple yet profound way. I was wondering about Temu myself as I saw a LOT of ads on Interent (and in general; bless you skin colour changing girl from ad), but I knew that there was a deeper meaning to their prices as they are so low so I didn't go down that that rabbit hole. I can't wait for the next video and I think I will be staying here a little longer than I expected!

I also brought the same product from Temu, Amazon and Aliexpress, they all used a source from Alibaba where they purchased it in bulk.
