Idk about better than a timby... i think id rather have a timber wolf S at 4/4 than a Trisk honestly, of course that's slightly more BV, but JJs are really good, and it has way more close range firepower, though less at long range.
@@TheManyVoicesVA the 1mp for any facing, lateral shift, and the fact that the bv for psv is averaged so you can do a 3/4 gunner and a 4/3 pilot for a 4/4 cost are some of the primary reasons I say this

Its good. The thing is, it's 2700 BV. For that kind of cost I can get almost twice the firepower on a tank and a heavy mech. Like the JJ Yeoman has 40 LRMs and 20 SRMs(with 4 MML5s) and costs literally half of what the Triskelion does. As long as you bring some ECM it shouldnt be that big of a problem. Im taking it to test it and because it's a meme, not because I think it is a good mech for the BV cost.
@@WolfHreda absolutely. The reason it's so expensive is actually the 5/8 profile. The extra TMM is a massive defensive BV tax on a unit with nearly as much armor as a 100 tonner.

Tripods are an awful idea. Battlemechs and mechwarriors are like a knight with his steed. Once you add multiple pilots that feel is lost. Worse than LAMs.
To be perfectly fair, there’s damn good reasons we don’t see tripods in nature, god bless the engineers who work with these abominations. On the other hand, there’s a reason triangles are busted, and a triangle of triangles is structurally overpowered. It’s the same reason I don’t like the elitist “purist” weirdos for that matter. If I want an unflinching perfectly stable literal tripod mount to rest my artillery piece on, any complaints will have to go through a No Man’s Land sorting system first to be even considered.

I was looking at the Dervish-9D in the upcoming tourney as well, good example of an IS unit with tarcomp.
Ah so thats why they stopped with only the Trisk. I can see how theyd take over if people caught on
