Top three that got added to my wish list from this slick video: Slender Threads, Urban Myth, and Kingdom Come. Might live stream one of the first two options on my new gaming channel. Shoutout to Your Player 2 for the silent encouragement through the great content over the years! 🙏🏽
Glad to hear it! I thought you meant you had a different channel than the account you were on but I'll check in when I'm able :) And no worries about being green! Gotta start somewhere so just stick with it, do your best, and make sure you're having fun with what you do and it'll make the whole journey MUCH easier! 🚀
@@YourPlayer2Thank you very much for the pop in and the words of encouragement. It means a lot so I appreciate your time and energy. I’m having a blast so far and makes dealing with my day job somehow easier.
@@Cynnergames You're very welcome- I know how much time and effort it takes to balance those two worlds so keep your head up, and keep pushing, brother! 🦾
Excellent recap of the month brother and I too can’t wait to see if yakuza runs on the deck. I’ve been watching a lot of videos on other handhelds which love to be compared to the steam deck. One of the benefits that always seems to go ignored is the track pads on the deck and how versatile they can be outside of just a mouse in desktop mode. What do you think about a video showing some of the more technical or QoL features of them? I feel it could provide others with a whole new set of features that they likely don’t know about. Keep up the good work! You’re easily my top (and most relatable) deck focused channel.
Appreciate you, dude! It's always a crap shoot for these videos because all we can really do is HOPE these games run well. Thankfully sometimes we'll get updates after the fact like I saw earlier that Warhorse tweeted out that they plan to have Kingdom Come 2 playable on the Deck :) x.com/WarhorseStudios/status/1884617498542346696 I'm not opposed to it! But I definitely am one of those people who often ignores them since I prefer traditional controls for the most part so that might be a fun one to put together :D Glad to hear the work's appreciated and I'll certainly do my best :)
Thanks for the video! Two titles will be added to my wishlist. Slender Threads has that dark Fran Bow and Little Misfortune vibe and Lost Records sounds promising, too.
You're most welcome, Dumpling! LoL I'm hoping to finish Little Misfortune sometime as I've had a blast with it so far :) Lost Records is MOSTLY pulling me in on account of the 90s vibes!
Lost Records and Urban Myth look the most interesting to me! I’m personally getting burnt out on long winded games and am starting to prefer more compact narrative-driven games that aren’t trying to be everything all at once. I have too much in my backlog at the moment but there are both being wish-listed for sure!
Urban Myth is definitely up my alley and I'm hoping it's a relatively short game since those are the ones I'm actually able to finish nowadays :p I actually made a backlog collection on my Deck the other day and it has like 170 games in it. Yeesh. At least I've no shortage of games to play I guess :p
Woah. Smack talking the Switch Lite?? I put a Taki OLED screen on one of mine (I think I own 7 of them now, long story…) I love those for taking anywhere. Pick up and play. That said , I did just grab the Oddworld series from Fanatical (reference to your post about where to buy😜). So I’ll be working though those as nothing in this video really grabs me, at least not at full price !
LoL sorry dude my reply didn't show up so RE-posting- And NOOOO not smack talking! Look for today's video where I promise it's LITERALLY friendly :p Enjoy the Oddworld trilogy!
Looking forward to the retro themed video, curious what it'll be! I wish I could get into Kingdom Come because I love everything it does in theory. I might pick up KC2 (which I didn't even know was this close to release? and on my birthday no less) since, from what little I seen, it looks like a major improvement over the first which *might* make it more enjoyable to me? Urban Myth Disillusion absolutely looks like my thing though. Will definitely be picking that up.
Well it's not just retro games but more of a retro EXPERIENCE as I'm messing around with some arcade setups for the Deck :) I never played KC but I'm not opposed to it, and happy early birthday dude :D Oh I'll definitely grab UMD at some point, if not closer to Halloween 👻
Love playing on PC and the steam deck. I’m going to be doing most of my 3rd party games on steam moving forward. That Monster Hunter game will be my first in the series. Looking forward to it.
Yo, T!!! Man I feel ya- but lately I've been going back to the Switch Lite a bit after I found a good deal on the Hyrule Edition - Specifically to re-visit Luigi's Mansion 2 HD since I haven't played it since what, 2012 or so? not quite as good as 3 but hey, still super charming! I'm lukewarm on Monster Hunter for the most part but Rise was pretty fun!
@ wassup buddy. Funny you mentioned switch. Me and some of my buddies are literally thinking PC & Switch for the future. Good to see you bro. Always watching the vids here.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be the big release for me (and my son too!). I introduced him to Rise's demo, and he's played through World, Rise, Generations Ultimate, Stories 1&2 with me. We're primed and ready to go! The Tome Raider Collection (2) looks fun as well. I remember playing the fourth one on the Dreamcast because it was dirt cheap at my local store and loving it.
Here's hoping it can at least run somewhat well on the Deck but we'll see! I never got HUGE into that series but I enjoyed Rise on the Switch with some friends for a bit :) LoL man I miss the Dreamcast. I still have one and a meager selection of games, but thankfully emulation lets me re-visit the titles that are near impossible for me to find locally like Dynamite Cop!
@YourPlayer2 Given the Beth's performance for Wilds, I doubt it will run well on the Deck, but always hopeful. If not, we have backup plans. Games are always more fun with friends!
I don't really do the whole looking forward to games thing much, but Avowed might get me to a bit 😅 I loved the outer worlds, having 100%ed it both on Xbox and Steam, so if it's anything like that but fantasy instead of sci-fi, I'm sure I'll love it. I'll wait and see what people say when it's released though, see if it has a lot of bugs and might be worth just playing it later.
I think what got me on Avowed is that it includes firearms in a pretty fantasy looking setting which I wasn't expecting 😂 My dad's a huge fan of obsidian so I'm SURE he'll be getting into it and I'll live vicariously through him at the very least.
Lost Records has been on my must play list for half a year. It is the must buy for February for me. Yakuza looks good, but I have never been able to make it through a yakuza (like a dragon) game, so likely will wait for a sale. but if the shup combat is THAT GOOD, I might change my mind. I have been keeping my eye in A owed for the last year, and it scares me that in less than a month, it will be released, and Obsidean is keeping pretty quiet about it. As long as it runs on the steamdeck, I will likely try it though.
I'm a sucker for anything with a 90s vibe so it's definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on :p Dude same! I keep BARELY chipping away at Yakuza 0, but Pirate Yakuza looks SO fun to me. I'll probably at least check out Avowed on Game Pass but we'll see what happens!
Oh no I mean it's supposed to be bigger than the original but I saw some reports saying it wasn't as big as something like The Witcher 3 and was a denser open world. Granted I'm ignorant on this one so I could be way off :p But you're most welcome, Yog! :D
Psuedoregalia was such a great shout out. Im not sure if uouve covered it but Nex Machina plays like old arcade machine games and is cool as heck, not at all a timesink game
I can't believe I waited so long to really give that one a fair shake- Way more than I was expecting! Just looked it up and added it to the wishlist to check out sometime :)
@YourPlayer2 Theres a very small channel I followed for SD tips and tricks, that showcases it and it looked cool to me. Turns out it was made by the creators of Resogun. A personal favorite of mine.
Just wishlisted Avowed. Oof, that price tag. From Obsidians humble PoE beginnings to full fat price tag. Thanks Microsoft? Thanks for the round up. Always love these vids, even if my wallet doesn't. ;-)
I know right? Also crazy that GTA 6 is rumored to be 100 out of the gate? o_0 You're most welcome and glad you can still enjoy them despite the suffering 😂
Oh yeah, I mean it's not hitting 60 (or even 40 likely) but I did see where they were trying to at least make a 30FPS profile for the Deck so we'll see what happens!
Kingdom come 2, monster hunter 2 wilds, avowed will all not run on the steam deck so nice idea saying steam deck games lol steam deck is underpowered and has hit its limit like indie games and low budget games will run ok but new triple A games not a chance
Yeah, I always try to add a caveat that we HOPE they will work well but it's a crap shoot for the beefier titles for sure. Although I believe they're doing a specific profile for Wilds so we'll see!
@@finrazielthe fact the steam deck is outdated and underpowered I mean maybe it can run avowed ok but outer worlds runs only at low settings on steam deck so I doubt it and obsidian made that

There is no chance Avowed, Kingdom Come 2 or Monster Hunter Wilds are running at a consistent 30 on the deck.

Yeah, they're gonna be taxing for sure but I was at least glad to see they're targeting a playable profile on the Deck with Wilds :)
