    I know you posted this several years ago, but still helpful. My Ranger has developed this issue and you've shown me exactly what I need to do. Thank you!!!

    Wicked idea. We think alike.... Anybody who can film and turn a wrench in confined spaces with a self modified tool is worth lending an ear to. Good job. 19 RZR 570 EPS

    I’ve just machined the holes for mine. I have cv joints. I tell you hardened steel is tough to drill through. Carbide drills work best. I’ll be putting it back on to test asap.

    Thanks for this video, same issue on the Polaris sportsman, going to do the same thing to mine. Horrible front end noise, thought the front Differential was bad. But it is just this loose end

    I replaced mine with a Rhino drive shaft took out all the play in the splines and universal joints. The problem I have now and I can see you also have in the video is the damn output shaft seal is now leaking from the diff! Mine was perfectly fine until I got to beating on the damn dial pin To get it out and back in! I’m assuming now I gotta pull the whole diff and replace the seal along with hoping I don’t ruin the new seal putting the dial pin back in? My luck!

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  4 года назад

      I hadn't had any issues with my seal leaking at all. Hopefully yours is just the seal & not wear on your pinion itself. I've never replaced one so I'm not sure of the best approach, you may be able to change it in the Buggy, but would definitely be easier if the front diff was out of the vehicle. Thanks for watching, see you on the trail.

    Having trouble getting the spline on the diff to slide into the front prop shaft yoke, any suggestions?

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  6 месяцев назад

      The splines on your yoke could be worn & flattened, the actual pinion spline is a harder steel than the metal that the yolks are made of, you may want to look at the splines on your yoke, you may have to put a new yolk on and see if that takes care of the issue. Before you actually attach the Yoke to the drive shaft I would do a test fit to see if it will go on, if it will not go on then you have an issue with your opinion that is in the differential. I hope this helps, thanks for watching, see you on the trail.

    I wonder if that’s what’s going on with my rzr? Every time I hit bumps I hear a clunking sound coming from my front end and I can feel it through my steering wheel. Any ideas?

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  5 лет назад +1

      That could be multiple things, usually a bad shock bushing will cause that clunking sound, or any bushing that has a lot of play in it, but a shock bushing seems to be the worst. If the Ujoints are going bad or very dry on grease it will make a clicking noise at slow to moderate speeds, and you could have a vibration with that as well. Start by jacking up your front end and putting a pry bar, 2x4, or anything to use to pry upward under your front wheel and try to move it up and down and see if the shock is moving inside the bushing area. Then just start going from their checking all your bushings by wiggling your wheels back and forth off the ground that will also tell you if you have wheel bearing slop. I hope this helps, feel free to message me back with any other questions, sorry it took me some time to get back to you. Thank you for watching, see you on the trail.

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  6 лет назад

      Yes, has worked perfectly, no issues at all. Make sure you clean the threads real good with brake clean & then use blue thread lock on the bolts to keep them tight. Let me know how it works out for you, thanks for watching, please subscribe if your not already & hit that little "bell" icon as well to be notified of all new videos , Thanks again.

    Does Anybody know if the Rzr 800 has a drive shaft carrier bearing?

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  Год назад +1

      No, the 800 RZR does NOT have a carrier bearing.

      The 800RZR & 570RZR are the only two that don't have Carrier Bearings in the RZR line up.

    That front yoke is cheap.

    • @RZRRocks
      @RZRRocks  6 лет назад

      Clayton thanks for the comment/ feedback. I won't disagree with you as far as it being a cheaper yoke, but the splines in that yoke are still squared off on the top of the splines. My issue was with the pinion splines coming out of the front diff. That yoke has been on my buggy for almost 3,000 miles, with no issues at all from the yoke. I drilled and tapped it for the set screws because of the wear on my pinion. Before I put those set screws in that yoke it had a bad vibration in the front due to the slop between the splines from the differential pinion and the drive shaft yoke. That yoke came from Super ATV, I have a friend that is a Super ATV dealer so I got it very cheap, and it has held up really well so far. This was definitely a cheaper fix that has worked really well for this issue.
