This sounds like Soen. Not Opeth, not any other band. Only Soen. And it's hauntingly beautiful.
Everyone is going to see it or rather hear it through their own lenses/filters.

Indeed . Those vocal harmonies are what does it for me in this song. It's that 60s 70s vibe with keeping it modern. I don't think I have heard anything being done similar .

David Gilmour - On an Island
Both On An Island and Lucidity are recalling a past in both their lives, one sounds sad because they were looking back onto dark times and the latter is sad because those good times are gone, share the same vibe though.
Be told some other bands to comparison, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, but not important.
Many influences,,,,great song...GILMOUR ...PINK FLOYD ..OPETH ..TOOL...this is the PROG¡¡¡¡¡¡ thanxs...SOEN

These lads are like the jazz of metal. They should not be compared to other bands. They are incredible in their own right.
This is soooo far from jazz, but I'd say this is a soul-metal song with elements of prog?

The spiritual energy of this song. It's so beautiful. The words spoken by the vocalist was so ethereal. The authenticity of the instruments completed it all for me. Absolutely masterful.

Headphones are an absolute must! I always cringe when I try to show somone a song and they play it on their tinny laptop speakers
I'm so sorry to disagree, but this band DEMANDS not headphones, but a whole audio set so you can not only hear, but FEEL every instrument: the bass on your chest, the snare and drums in you body and all the band I'm your ears, arms and head.

You can see how special this song is to the band, and how into the music every musician is cuz of how they close their eyes while playing.
There’s nothing more beautiful to me than seeing artists get into the music like that.
Discovered this song last night and I could'nt stop listening to it. Then I woke up this morning and was announced that my grandmother passed away. I feel like I could not have found a better song to express how this all feels... Such a hauntingly beautiful piece of music. Thank you Soen.

This is the perfect example of how you make music, this is the required amount of soul and love it has to have.
It's been so long since I listened to a new artist that genuinely inspired me. But Soen hits the spot really well. Great band!

@@lkwalden7 It's definitely a bigger jump than average, with Lacquer having no guitars, and Vanishers barely having any. But I think it fits pretty snugly in their discography. :)

Accidentally ran across this in 2021 for the first time. To think I've been listening to Opeth all these years and never made the former-drummer connection before. Definitely getting a lovely Opeth vibe, musically -- vocally, this is in a vibe of its own. I think this may be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

I heard this song just couple of days before in vinyl store in Istanbul. I didn’t found any of needed records and was pretty frustrated about it, and then this song started. I had listened her till the end and leave the store with the think that nothing greater will not happen to me in this place 😁

The lyrics make perfect sense during the coronavirus lockdown
Every time a new band shows their talent and beauty, people feel threatened and become jealous. Negative comments ensue accompanied with petty and demeaning comparisons to other bands. Good god people give the band credit! They sound creative and amazing!
These guys are so good, been listening to their older stuff non stop. This kind of sound is really missing from the newest album Imperial.
I love the face of Martin in the line: "Can you see the danger within my eyes".

Dang that slide guitar gives it a very.. country sound but it's not country at all. It's like you took the heartbreak and melancholy in country songs and put it into a new context. I love it!

Frankly, compared to their other soft or melodic songs, this takes the cake as the best one. Vocals are awesome, and the guitar makes the atmosphere so floaty. However, i'm really hankering for a giant heavy song much like void. We'll have to see what they have in store. From the ending of this video, the album might have a more ominous feel.

Even though the first 3 minutes the great song brings to mind Floyd and specially Gilmour's on a Island, however is it still a great song. No doubt about it. It brought a tears to my eyes. The power of great music.
