He wrote it for his daughter Willow. She is also in some of his videos. So she knows from a young age what her father does and why he has to leave her every now and then, but he will always come home to her. He knows, through his mother, what it feels like to be abandoned and he doesn't want his daughter to ever have to feel that. He assures her that no matter where he is, he is always with her and will never leave her. Many fathers did not have this opportunity and had to leave their beloved children behind. My older daughter is one of those kids and I wish he would come home to her every damn day. I want the song for my funeral because my death is a “coming home” for me. Simply a beautiful song 🖤🎶

This album is so underrated, I love it front to back. For whatever reason the record just didn’t get hype around it which is why I think Ronnie went to a single format instead of releasing albums since then
My absolute favorite album by them and Coming Home is my favorite song by Ronnie. Other great ones on there are I don't mind, straight to hell, I'm bad at life, and fuck you and all your friends. I could keep going because it's almost all good, also they have a newer song that was unreleased from this album called Carry On and that sound is absolutely amazing.
