Yeah because they're way better 💀. It's about time lmao. Imagine if it surpasses controller hall effect adoption because despite it being even more useful on them because of durability, precision and dead ones, we don't have Sony and Microsoft tryna keep selling us $100 keyboards that break every 2 years like they do with controllers 😂
Seems like it? I heard the gateron jades sounds decent but for now majority of them sounds awful. I just hope custom keyboard manufacturers offer PCB's that supports HE switches on their existing boards in the future tho...
They did via rapid trigger but steelseries was the first to make a consumer gaming keyboard with it and even without rapid trigger it's distinctly better performance than mechanical. Those two pioneered it altho wooting ofc did it much more intelligently than the rich lumbering mega corporation.
nice to see more HE switch options on the market, only problem is all lot of these keyboard makers seem to be doing their own thing and in turn making their products proprietary so HE switch compatibility is terrible
well atleast steel series adnd wooting are both going the gateron route with their hall effect switches so hopefully in the future, the innovation will be like hopw everyoene started using similar molds to cherry the moment their patent expired
I think the KS-20s are older and were originally used in the Apex Pro TKL (2019) but all Gateron HE switches use that same mold so there’s no difference in tolerances (which aren’t up to standard for Gateron).
@@Apotheosis.. I'm heavily considering these and a cf plate - the thing that's annoying me with the lekkers is the key stability - is it much better on the raptor?
@@albanzon Sorry not something I can comment on. If you meant if they keys are stable and not wobbly, they feel solid if I try to move a key side to side there the smallest/ barely noticeable movement. Hope this helps a bit.
I was wondering how come many manufactures of HE keyboards specify they are compatible with their/xxx switches only, like even Keychron Q1 HE states "*The Q1 HE is compatible with the magnetic switches sold on the Keychron website only.". Why is that so? Does that stay true to Boog75 as well? Another question that came to my mind - Are all HE keyboards (makers) with their magnetic switches have the feature of secondary activation (ex. press W to walk, press harder to Sprint) or it depends on if the switch has such support and respectively the software supplied by the keyboard maker? Thanks for the video.
As I know NO,Akko HE switches are not compatible with wooting pcb because diferent magnets position on switches. So I guess Lekkers/Raptor HE wont neither.
I was wondering where you got the information about the Raptor switch being stronger than the lekker switch? I can’t find this information online, so curious where you found this / if you tested this yourself
The reason is wooting only has steel horrible sound plate compatible, now they release a PC plate and sound improve a lot. Anyway yes, lekkers are really basic Gateron Red but with fancy magnets.
If only the hosuing wasnt black and red. I have the Lekker 45 switches and I wanna those are still better than these Raptors, at least for gaming. 45g vs 52g.
The reason why the Wooting sound like ass is because first of all, it's a tray mount and second, the Gateron Lekker switches are horrible because there is an exhorbitant amount of stem wobble and the housings are loose, resulting in a lot of unwanted noise. Hall Effect keyboards can sound good but Gateron is just too incompetent to make anything decent.
Do check my my friend Nix 4o4's channel, he has more typing tests on the board and he did alot of work to get it how it is now. Lots of modding and custom plate files were needed to get things sounding good.
6:35 “The Lekkers sound more high pitch and fuller than the more muted Lekkers” 😂
Narrator is paid actor
yeah these raptor switches sound worse to me than the Lekkers
@@JoshBrown190 what about raw performance champ?
Magnetic/He switches is gonna be the new trend for switches from now on.

Innovation a trend……….. imagine
they sound like sht...

@Mikoto_Suoh They're still relatively new. In time, they will advance in sound.
Really amazed by how Wooting for sure changed the game.

Geon just did what's called "a pro gamer move"
I backed a Keychron Q1 HE along with my friend, can't wait to get into hall effect custom keyboards!
First switches i see that are so gorgeous that if i get these, i would get transparent keycaps
Thanks for explaining
The GATERON Magnetic Jade Switch Set just dropped too
It's not HE
@@AntonlaCroix it is
I got the raptor he week ago and just these switches alone are amazing, with everything else stock
Would you say they feel much different from the Lekkers on the 60HE?
@@grumpybearbear They feel really good, and the sound so much better with these switches

@@Apotheosis..Exactly what I meant! That's a good sign - I find the stock lekkers quite wobbly so I might pick these up
I just brought the lekker l45 man. Very unlucky timing. But hey maybe i'll wait for geon's upcoming hall effect stuff in the future
It works with any Pcb that gateron switches go? At least in my mind if Wooting uses gateron others HE gateron switch keyboard are compatible too
Have you try putting the Lekker 60 Stem into the raptor? This make the switches less wobble
Purchased. Hi Nix!
Halloooo
Where did you buy The cable used in The typing tests?
can this work with the drunkdeer g60?
is this the best HE switches? i'm currently using the gateron magnetic 2.0 switches right now

love the keycaps, link pls
do those switches fit in the AKKO Mod 007 HE keyboard ?
As I know NO,Akko HE switches are not compatible with wooting pcb because diferent magnets position on switches. So I guess Lekkers/Raptor HE wont neither.
So the raptor switches do work for the wooting and it centers when putting them on?
What usb-c cable are u using, it looks really good
same question
Maybe this is a dumb question, but does the red top-housing affect the rgb in any way??
Hello does the geon raptor he extreme gaming fit with the wooting 60he ?
so which one better raptor/ks20/linear45?
which is smoother?
Are these switches compatible with vxe Atk 68? I have a Wooting H60E and an ATK 68, and I already wanted to buy a number to exchange in both.
idk if theres saving the he switch it just sounds uh bleh
how do these switches compare to the Steelseries Omnipoint switches?
Guys, I'm planning to buy this switch's but I don't know what board to go with . Some help

Self tested and had my friend Nix test em aswell. You’ll really notice the differences once you get to try both together in person.
@@Merkeebswhat does this mean while gaming tho? Does it create phantom inputs/ double clicking?
I still think the Lekker 45 switches from Wooting is better
Would these have a problem being installed north facing?

I think PC case is the way to go for fuller sound. All the alu cases I've ever heard for HE switches just sound so bad on the upstroke.

Is the a low profile version?
like this factory lube
I'm currently using the worst earphone to ever hold by mand kind and yet the switch sounded very nice
i can’t find that red case i rlly like that
where did you buy your cable at 2:00
Would love to know aswell😂
Omg... Other keyboards sound thocky, clacky, clicky etc. theses sound kinda like a high pitch crunchy aound

How can i buy that cable that ur using with ur keyboard
I got it from Ordinary Labs
So the wooting pcb fits in the frog mini? If thats the case (literally) i found what build km going for next 🥹

Do these not work on regular mechanical keyboards?
no
yes they do as long as pcb supports cherry style switches.
Thanks RUclips comments!
