The reason I choose this over GWB5600U is the Bluetooth allow me to sync the watch as I don’t receive radio signal here in South Asia; easy setting; also setting the location pin with time and date on the app.
Also it has nifty features - reminders that come in with the blinking comma at month, date box and the blinking red light.
Not only that, the legibility and wider legible viewing angle of this is model is better than GWB5600U.

These squares are all fun to use. I don't really need them to be as tough as they are. I mean, I rarely take my watch more than one meter under the water! (Who really needs 200 meters?) And if the watch fell off of a tall building or was run over by a truck or smacked by a hockey player while it was still on my wrist, then the least of my worries would be how well the watch survived!

@Greg In my experience if you have synced the Bluetooth G-Shock watch with the app then going forward the watch doesn't check for radio signal instead it prefers to have updated via Bluetooth. I'm located in Australia so I am using a hardware based simulator for my radio watches to have correct time, the ones which doesn't have Bluetooth. But with Bluetooth G-Shock, I had to unpair the watch to sync using my radio simulator. It was just for testing purpose. I'm fine using app via Bluetooth as its easier too compared to using hardware simulator. Just wanted to share my experience. Thanks for your videos!

Folks, if you don't like Bluetooth on your watch, then don't use it. The majority of Casios with Bluetooth connectivity has every function available in the watch itself, you don't need to connect it. Bluetooth connectivity does NOT make a watch a "smart watch." Bluetooth gives you another form of input for setting the watch, and the app can keep a log of watch information - that's not a "smart watch." The intermittent connection of most Casios won't drain your battery like a true smart watch.
I'm only making this comment because inevitably there will be someone complaining about Bluetooth connectivity in the comments, railing about how "terrible" it is. You don't have to use it. Save your outrage.

And that app requires you to get a Casio ID (why? the old app didn't)), which means you have to agree to a ridiculous EULA, signing away all your private date for (ab)use by hundreds of shady 3rd parties.

I've got the app so I can register and keep track of all my watches. I don't connect the Bluetooth on any of them, however.

Love that Charles Derwin Foundation watch, I hope they make a GW6900 model as well besides the GAB2100, there's two brand new ones that are out on their website already you guys.

I looked the old casio app, where you didn't NEED to make an account to use the bluetooth function with the casio app :/ also feel like casio could add more functions (music control?).

I also prefer the old app. The new one just contains too much advertising. Sometimes it seems like the ads are the only reason they want the app to exist. If any of my watches still work with the old app then I'm keeping them on the old app for now.

@@GoodTimekeeperThere is at least one 3rd party app for Android that does time sync (and more) without the need for setting up an account and without ads.😊
