Memories of Saturday mornings in the past! I used to put a smear of grease around the sump plug gasket each time because I was told it helped to seal any leaks. My biggest disaster was a faulty oil filter which had an air lock which burst the sealing ring and by the time I stopped the engine wondering why the pressure light didn’t go out, I had four litres of GTX all over my driveway!! It took hours to clean and a year to disappear! 😨😨😀😀😀Good work, Richard😀😀😀
Friend, it's undoubtedly the best explanatory video on how to carry out the procedure. Thank you very much for taking the time to create this material. Sending a hug from Chile
Thank you for walking me through my first oil change on this truck. 8mm sump key on order before finding out the hard way 👍. The only thing I missed was the oil viscosity? My wife says I don't listen so you probably told us several times 😆
I was amazed you took the filter off first..... was expecting lots more oil. I always remove the sump plug first. But it seems, on this vehicle, it doesn't matter which way round you do it :) Just bought one myself.
Thank you for the tutorial. However that's not only the grade of the lubricant i.e 5W30 that is important but the norm is crucial. On this 2.3 l engine "C3" is required per ACEA. Therefore the can A1/B1 you display is definitely not compliant
Hi would you do a workshop on basic changes and belt changes? I'm female and knowing this would be so good I can't imagine how many times I've been ripped off taking my car to a mechanic who in fact didn't follow through with what they quoted to do.
@AdamDitheridge ... no , in Thailand they often take the previous engine for a newer model. Also no diesel filter or ad blue. But I only have 163hp instead 190. It is NP300 built 2017
You really should not be praising the stupid little ramp to direct the oil, it has been put there as an after thought because the position of the oil filter in the first place is diabolical, and yes I do have an NP300 Navara, I dread every time it is due for an oil change, what should take minutes takes over an hour due to the ludicrous place the filter has been positioned. Oh and by the time you manhandle the filter housing out you cover everywhere with oil anyhow, so the ramp becomes pointless.

5W30 regarding the viscosity but ACEA norm C3 if Euro5 engine or C4 if Euro6 with ADblue. That's crucial to preserve the exhaust
I found out the hard way about the sump key as well 😂 I think I’m going to just grind down the end of a bolt.

Great point!
Respect the knitwear as he throws it on the garage floor. 😂
I’m glad you said that garages don’t have time to do the small detail things as it’s true. Book times now are getting worse and worse.
I know its tough out there... we all need to make money to keep going
Thanks so much for show stage video minute 7:42 onwards. Greetings from Chile
I’ve got Tyler to drain the oil .. everybody is hoping he fails & misses the drain pan …. Lol such a supportive boss

What a joker of a job I’ve just done the. Oil filter it’s worse then doing a ford ranger oil filter and it’s a 2018 and rust as hell
Anyone spot the lady looking through the door window, 16.40 in the video?
I was under the car at 16:40 ? I did look but i think this is the wrong time point ?

hahaha very good!
This was helpful
glad it helped
Nice job 🚘🚙🚗👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What size socket did you use for the filter housing
27mm
Can it be done in 5hrs (school hrs)
It can be done in less than 1 hour !
At 18,000 miles it's due for a full service
My NP300 got the 2.5 L and filter is in a can. Easier to handle
Yours is the D40, pre-facelift, I suspect....

@@_Alfa.Bravo_ Oh, I see. So glad I haven't got the Ad-Blue rubbish, or DPF filter, afaik. Mine is a 2016. Heard they all got them from 2017....
That's what I call a TRUCK! ! !
Boom!
On my old Merc i can replace the oil filter with one hand while eating a sandwich😁
not sure this is compliant with food safety regulations !

entonnoir pour remplir, ça évite d'en mettre de partout!
❤️❤️🙏🙏
Such a combination of good and bad design
Wot! no orange pen? lol
Its back in the upcoming pollen filter video !
It's the worst filter change ever
Vraiment n'importe quoi, placer le filtre à un endroit inaccessible.
c'est vraiment le bazar rien que pour remplacer le filtre à huile! moteur Renault!
