Three days in and im finally at crota, had too many players come and go to say how many teams I've had. Finally made it their and everyone left lol ,now I'm taking a break watching this optimal crota guide. Going to get back at it with some more lfg players in a minute and see how it goes. Cheers.

PSA for some people who might get stuck in the bridge encounter if at the last minutes the swords don't become available for the final 5 knights (it happened to my team a few times) you can freeze them with stasis and easily slide them to the edge and they will just die, just be careful to not stand in the middle plate again as that can and will wipe your team

quick tip for stasis enjoying hunters: the reworked renewal grasps *EAT* this raid up. Especially with wicked implement or verglas. Your duskfields stunlock the barriers and swordbearers, and you generate enough shards from your weapons to basically have 100% grenade uptime

The receptacle for the chalice isn't random, like Fallout suggests. When you look ahead and it's pitch black, that's when you're going to need to preserve the chalice w/the receptacle, because what it actually does, is prime the next group of lanterns, making it possible for them to be lit. When there is no receptacle, the next group of lanterns will have some light in them, when there is one, they'll be pitch black.
Tip for identifying Shriekers in tower rooms: if you can’t tell if a Shrieker is up or down, hop/float so you are level with the ceiling of the room you are checking - where the shrieker would be floating. The triangle in the dot on your radar will completely disappear if you are parallel with a shrieker. If the triangle does not disappear then the shrieker is *not* in that room and it will be a wizard :)

A strat my team used in ir yut is you have your scout be the first person to get enlightened- they call out the wizards and then they take the last one they find and start DPS. It worked phenomenally for us Also, we had our wizard locations number 1-7 counterclockwise from 1 being the top platform left of the oversoul. Made callouts very easy.
Best video guide for Crota's End I have seen thus far. Everything is covered. Clear and concise presentation. Only critique is the swapping location and how many there are during Crota. There are 6. 4 of the locations are in a T formation between the chalice spawn and preservation podium. The other 2 overlook the one closest to the preservation podium on the right and left. If you need to assign callouts for these you could recycle VoG Atheon oracle ones. If you imagine the arena from above the swap locations make two lines of three just like Atheon oracles.
A note about the secret chest between the bridge & Ir Yut. In D2 someone getting through the door doesn’t get you the chest, you have to dunk the chalice in the pedestal before he door fully closes.
For the chest after the bridge encounter, you don't have to make it in the room, just the door itself before it is fully closed. Just did a run where I touched the door moments before it fully closed, causing it to open back up and letting us get that secret chest. To be safe, try to make it inside the room, but know it seems to be more lenient.
The problem with getting everyone enlightened at the bridge before you go across is if anyone dies when in the starting area when there's 3 people on both sides it's a wipe. It's basically asking people to do the bridge flawless. It's much safer to do the mechanic. It's faster in the long run to do the slow safe way once vs wiping the fast way 2 or 3 times.
So my group isn't 100% sure on this but if you're a Titan you may want to consider using Crown Splitter instead since it seems like it does way more damage. We're not 100% because the person using it was also running sword to pop Crota's shields so the numbers may be including that but figured it was worth mentioning.
I had really good raid guides, but only once have I had a toxic raid group: this group tried to speedrun Crota’s End in a guided game without saying anything, I was just there, then when we got to the bridge encounter, ah geez. I’m okay at it and I’m used to building the bridge but this team was telling me contradictions left and right like “don’t stand on the plate” or “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, STAND ON THE PLATE” to “Use strand” because they were trying to cheese it, and, still in the same game, I grabbed a sword to cross the bridge and they tell me not to cross like “what?” So, I dropped it and they screamed at me and they killed themselves and blamed me😂
if youre arc titan or arc/solar hunter and void/arc/strand warlock while crota final stand active your super for extra good amount of damage (having amount of well is good but also bad idea), or having titan bubble while DPS can also tank your welllock cus youre damaging him with sword not rocket

For the oversoul, you do need to be enlightened to shoot the oversoul. So make sure you have an extra enlightened user to do the oversoul part.

Small correction - 2nd hidden chest seems to come from dunking/preserving the chalice before the door closes, rather than getting someone in there.

Using the P key for use is insane to me lol i'm always fascinated by unusual keybinds
You can also use a Sentinel titan with Ursa for the Wizard. Especially nice for the orbs and topping off supers for teammates.
