Wonderful review! I purchased this ebook and I'm actually surprised with the price for what great useful content it has. One of the things I noticed in spoken Korean is that some of the particles are omitted. Another part I noticed is that this book is mixed with different speech levels which is a great treat. I'm enjoying it so far, along with the other My first 500 Korean words book!
Thank you very much 🥹 yeah both these ttmik books are super useful! as you have both, do you have a personal preference for one or the other? And if so why? Yeah the more you’ll progress in your Korean journey the more you’ll notice that Korean speak differently than we first learn (like in most languages) by omitting the particules like you noticed or using contracted words to go faster etc
@@kimincoree Good question, I actually do have a personal preference for one over the other. I think Real Life Korean Conversation for Beginners is the better book than the 500 vocabs. Here's a couple of reasons: 1. It has over 800 vocabs, which is more compared to the First 500 book. So I can learn these vocabs as I go to each chapter. 2. Much more grammar and has better use of it. 3. The dialogues are much more practical for real world conversations and you can build sentences based on their structure. And you can also memorize new vocabs in this book since it has better use. 4. It also covers all of the vocab audio like the First 500 book. I just think it's the better overall book. You gain more vocabs on this one AND it has audio for each word. Much more valuable imo. Great points! Exactly that's what I started noticing is that a lot of beginner books you don't hear Koreans speaking like that daily. I'm so happy I purchased this one thanks to you review lol
@@steverogers9453 yeah you sum up my thoughts exactly and I’m glad to see what we think alike! ☺️ it’s always interesting to hear what different people think about a same textbook because everyone has different way of learning. I’m so glad my review got you to purchase the book and that you actually like it! 🥰 thanks for letting me know it encourages me to create more similar content 😌
They now even have a topic of podcast that is quite similar like the conversations for beginners.
You mean the IYAGI for beginner serie?
Very useful video thank you 🙂
Glad it was helpful~ ☺️
