    I must be a crazy one because i started learning korean by reading harry potter, and went through with it. It was more like comparing english and korean and guessing the meanings of the senteces with the help of dictionary but after a month or two it got muuuuuuch easier.

    Japan breaks up books too. I complained about having to spend twice as much to get a popular new Haruki Murakami book that came out when I was in Japan. A Japanese friend who worked in Japanese publishing said it’s totally fair - the publisher needs to make their money etc. But he (and other Japanese people too) are just big hypocrites sometimes. Instead of buying the book he waited for me to read it so he could borrow it. Of course. $50 for one book (because it was split into two) is nuts.

    Shame that such a meaningful video fetches only some 2000 views, while a random " what is in my bag" or " room tour " or low-grade makeup videos produced by virtually unknown vloggers collect tens of thousands of views overnight. Your face is so nice to look at , another premium of your vids .

      Hiiii~ I live in the US, so I don’t know where you can get it in Korea~ The publisher is Cheng & Tsui, an American publisher, so you’d probably have to order it from an American website.
      Here is the publisher’s website, but I don’t know if they ship to Korea

    Natalia HELP!!!!! IM EXTREMELY UNMOTIVATED!!!!!!!!!!! I’m mid intermediate what shall I doooooooooo :(

    • @NataliaGarza
      @NataliaGarza  4 года назад +3

      TBH I feel like that is the hardest place to be in terms of staying motivated. Personally, I find setting very specific goals that are public help me the most. (By public, I mean that others will be able to tell if I accomplished my goals or not.) For example, taking the TOPIK II. For me, taking the TOPIK II pushes me to improve because I don't want to let a test tell me I'm not intermediate when I know I am. I also value the "official-ness" that comes with having a test score saying you have achieved a certain level of proficiency. I know a test isn't the best way to measure one's true capabilities, but it offers some credibility in instances when you aren't offered the opportunity to prove yourself (EX. a job application).
      Another big one for me is being able to speak about various topics when I go to Korea. For this one, I have to have a specific travel date already planned or it won't motivate me because I can think about it as "someday." I know these goals might not work for you, but I encourage you to set a specific goal, a strong WHY, to your language learning that will push you to continue improving even when you already feel comfortable in the language~ Also make sure that it is something with a deadline. You want to make sure that you can't say, "well, maybe next month."
      Hopefully this will help you haha
