If you used industrial water proof caulking designed for submersion and caulked the entire bottom seam, filled the holes for the anchor bolts, caulked and re caulked the door seems, then wrapped the safe in a tarp and taped, caulked it closed. Would that work? I know this seems extreme but if I know a flood is coming (and for whatever reason I can't take my guns with me which would be the best decision since s new safe is cheaper than a whole new collection) and I have time to prepare I'm giving it the whole nine yards.
David Hoffmann We looked into that, along with a bag to cover the safe held with waterproof tape, but the anchor bolts in a fire lined safe failed. Even if it was successful, sealing it up like that isn’t fool proof and not designed to hold up more than a few days unfortunately.
Waterproof long gun bags!!
No ones talking about how they have 44 kilos of pure white stored in the safe

Is it possible to caulk the door seams if you knew the flood was coming?

Seriously too, never ever buy a house that requires NFIP (flood insurance) regardless of what you "think" the possibilities are.
