the puzzle is greate and i can't wait to present it to my group, knowing the befor i ended the description the thief is allready opening the chest ^^. but i think i'll only use 1d4 of snakes and add another d4 scorpions *inocent whistling ;) but it has a "plothole". if i have to press 4 stones 1+2+3+4=10 and 9+8+7+6=30-26 (impying the count goes from 26 to 1) =4 so the letters 5-9 (e; f; g; h; i) arn't aviable. only important if you wanna shift cesar a little like A=3 or so or want to use another letter than "W" ^^ annyway, i'm bad with puzzles so thank you and every one who shares content like yours, without people like you i would have to run 'boring' combat only games.
I'm not familiar with the map, but it wouldn't surprise me. Domille has been creating maps for a very long time. A definite expert in the field, for sure, which is why I was excited about this collaboration with her. Thank you for watching!
Definitely need more rooms that fill with things. This is great. Maybe a bit on the easy side, but I think that could be dealt with. Also, definitely want creatures with a burrowing speed involved. Maybe a swarm of scarabs. :)
Absolutely. Great points on this. Scarabs are a classic. I always think of the 90s mummy movie with them. And, funny you mention scarabs... I had about 2 minutes of video recommending other monsters including a swarm of scarabs (along with sand elementals), but I cut it to make the video shorter.
Hmmm. Maybe not the cipher itself. But, you could definitely increase the difficulty by removing the ALPHA and BET clues. Once the sand starts to flow, all they see is a W and numbered blocks. It might also take a turn or two to figure out that 4, and only 4, blocks/numbers must be used to equal 23. You could also have the letter change each round to a different letter. Perhaps the door has a word, such as TURN. Using the cipher, the numbers would be 20, 21, 18, and 14. And, they'd need to push 4 stone blocks to equal the 20 and T lights up, they pop-out, another 4 blocks to equal 21 and the U lights up... something like that. I think I'm babbling, now. lol. But, those are some brainstorm ideas. hope that helps.
Now this is a trap I can get behind ... I would even give the players less clues ... B-E-T plus 2-5-20 should be enough, I think. Thank you for that trap. I will use it. 😃
I'm absolutely going to use this. I'll have my players get teleported into this chamber by a genie lantern looking thing or some such, and if they manage to survive, the lantern will explode spilling out the PCs and a buttload of sand.

Cool puzzle and the VTT battle map looks amazing! Great collaboration!
Thank you, glad you liked it. I had fun with this one. Cheers!
Awesome puzzle and artwork. Thanks for sharing!
You bet! And, thank you for watching!
Cool puzzle
I may have to use this one too
Heck yeah Rivers. Bury them in the sand! Haha, cheers!
But seriously, i love the venomous snakes pouring out with the sand 😊
Just gives it that classic feel, ya know?
I think I used a map from this person. It was a temple with a monkey head that filled with water.

I'm going to reflavor this for my bbeg's lair that my players are going to find tomorrow night 😁👍
Oh, neat-o! How did it go???

I love this, but I need the puzzle to be harder to solve my group would figure that out on the second turn. Any ideas for making the cipher harder?

Hooray, I'm glad you liked the idea! Tell your players I'm sorry, lol. Cheers!
Those stackable bricks in your 3D set up, where are they from?
An old 1980s game called crossbows and catapults.
That's a good looking video, Wally.
Thank you so much! I have several days and a lot of hours put into this one, so I appreciate the compliment. I'm so glad it came out well. :-) Cheers!
Love this trap. Snakes within snakes 🐍
What if, instead of sand, it filed with...
_Spiders_ 🕷🕷🕷
Why not both?
Oh... instead of sand? Buried alive in spiders. That truly is horrifying. Yikes!
Thanks Wally.
Thanks Fred!

I love the genie lantern! What a great idea! And... will this be a Dao? Earth Genie? Super cool.
phased battlemaps are great, this looks fun.
snakes make it better for sure!!!
It always has to be snakes, because its better with snakes! Haha, absolutely. Thanks, my friend!
Good use of a phased battle map. Love the trap and Map.
Thank you!
