Ooh, when you defeat a rogue, earlier in the dungeon, they disappear, only to be replaced by the corresponding card.
Each card is then acquired by defeating its namesake.
Better yet, leave The Rogue till after they've received the clue from the halfling. A clever party may then expect the imminent sneak attack.
I absolutely love this idea. Yes!

Nice look at the puzzle, sorting ones are always interesting. The product looks pretty well done as well, nice art and embellishments
Thanks for sharing it.
Neat little puzzle, for sure. And yeah, I'm really digging this supplement. It's really eye-catching. Cheers, my friend!
Great puzzle description as always Wally DM.
Thank you, my friend. Cheers!
Wow the puzzle looks fun and easy to run as both players and dm! Also how would you use poker cards as replacements 😂
Also I want to see some reviews to this book I heard some controversy regarding this book, one customer don't have the deck of cards despite buying the deluxe edition, the format is pretty messy and it's hard to find certain items in the book. I think the code index doesn't show anything on it? And is it a dm's book or players book as I was planning to buy it
I love that poker idea! Especially if you have a Wild West or Casio themed location. Maybe, you have an informant that is hidden among the NPCs, and this puzzle is a way of identifying yourself to them.
Poker cards would not work with this puzzle. This puzzle has two elements to it:
1. The position of the cards
2. The facing of the cards (upside down or right side up)
Poker cards can fulfill the first element. But most standard cards are mirrored horizontally, making the second element impossible.
Unless... You could talk about some of the cards, "being shy" or "dying with their face in the dirt". To indicate that certain cards need to be flipped facedown on the table.
I'll see what I can do with Poker cards. Honestly, that is an excellent idea! Thank you Isa! Hoping I find time to do a full review soon. Cheers!
😅 love your sneaky peek at the box.
That artwork is gorgeous.
And I would be curious for your take
as it's received a lot of flak so far.
Haha, yup. Sneaky-sneak. :-) It definitely has received a lot of negative vibes... I'll see what I can do!
I would love a review of this book. especially from a puzzle master
I'll see what I can do. :-) Cheers!
Interesting
I don’t have the book or their deck as I will not support WotC anymore.
I do have a deck at home but I cannot remember who made it
I always find Tarot cards interesting in DnD. Ya know... I should develop a few of my own puzzles with them. Cheers Rivers!
Thanks Wally. I didn't get it.
You've solved 1 out of about 50 or so puzzles. Not too bad! lol. Cheers!
