There's no indication on who the land will revert back to after 50 years. Tbh, paying all that money for only a 50 year "ownership" is not a good deal. If the government is serious about the diaspora coming back, this needs to change.

You have to renew it
Although I can see why these laws were implemented. It was to prevent the former colonials & scavengers from buying up land and leaving citizens with nothing. There should be at least an exception to individuals especially diaspora or persons of African descent who shows a commitment to the development of Africa to buy one house for residential purposes.
@@benkarl1274 Thats what I am asking...So the property is really never yours...They can take it back for no reason if I understand it right after the leasehold/ Here in the US its your property forever as long as you pay the taxes. So I need to understand how property works better before forking over 100K plus
Please don’t forget mortgage videos too
Does new owners need to pay monthly for the security?
I believe he said the monthly maintenance fee is GHS 250 a month which covers 24 hour security services, waste removal, landscaping and road maintenance. You can replay the video to verify.

These real estates in Ghana need good roads
Your units are nice but your rooms are way too tiny.
Any more terrace buildings left??
Beautiful homes...
I just don't understand why houses in Accra are priced like in the USA. This is just insane.

Hi BW Sampson.
That is a point. I do not think that cropped their mind. I am sure, there will be a space to accommodate these in the house. Mind you, most people in Ghana, usually hand wash unless there is washery or launderette in the vicinity.
I am sure this will be taken care of in their next project.
Nice looking, where are the concrete streets?
If there is no threat of erosion, I'd prefer those road to stay like that. Look natural and nice
So after the 87 year lease is up then what?
if you dont have a contract with the negotiation of a lease-prolonguation - your house is gone. Simple and easy.

It's because a lot of these people are miserable in real life

Why are Ghanaian's estate agents selling their properties in dollars instead of cedis? These houses are too close.
Let them fix the road first....👍🏿
So the properties are under leased? No front lawns/back gardens? Aaaaaah, not good enough! Thought they're Freeholds.
Is this price in us dollars.
