I've been vegan for 19 years and girl, there are much better foods to try! I remember you did a dairy free video way back, but a full vegan would be fun to see! You are also the reason I bought the cold brew pot off your amazon list! Best one! Thank you for getting me on the at home cold brew life!
I loved this! I have always been so lazy about pressing my tofu but watching you do it has inspired me. I will say the best thing about vegan eating is actually how affordable it is. Instead of meat replacements, use chick peas or beans or veggies! I love cooking chick peas in taco seasoning and voila you have taco filling. Those cookies looked absolutely perfect too🥰🥰
I was exclusively vegan for 2.5 years and it can be cheap/fun! It definitely helped me broaden my horizons and try new foods (who knew lentils were so good?) Interestingly a lot of potato chips aren’t vegan because they’re covered in milk powder 🤷🏼♀️
I literally never thought to cut my tofu before I press it….genius. Pressing the giant hunk of tofu is tough and messy!! So thank you for the tip haha! Also your hair looks beautiful!
We get Beyond burgers in the UK and I think they are unbelievably good. Although they cost a stupid amount. Those spring rolls were ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
Would love to see you do a full month of vegan eating and cooking! If you do, Aldi has some great vegan products like meatless meatballs, vegan cheeses (even vegan feta and parm!), frozen veggie burgers, etc.
This was so good!! Would love to see you do this for a week if possible! I do love having meat alternative burgers and sausages every now and then. It’s such a shame vegan foods can be so expensive.
Loved this video! I did vegan for a month back in 2017 and have been primarily vegetarian since. (I do occasionally eat fish though so I’m technically pescatarian.) I love it! If second you in that if you’re looking for cheaper meat and dairy alternatives try going to Aldi or Walmart!
So much fun! Please make a video where you eat vegan for a week or a month. I'm not vegan but I try to eat more vegan/vegetarian and I think it's much more intresting to watch vegan food videos from a fellow meateaters perspective 😄
I just found your channel in the past week and love your videos and attitude about nutrition, body and fitness. I agree to try going vegan for a week and see how it goes. I'd also suggest trying to cycle syncing your diet for a week and see how it goes. It's been a game changer for me and what I eat and workout. I think you'd find it really interesting.
I love vegan food. Plant based food has a lot more flavour and diversity than most people think. I am sad we can't get Just Egg in the UK. I do make eggless egg salad with tofu, vegan mayo, American mustard, and black salt. I am still trying a vegan scramble egg recipe that I like. A lot of them have too mich garlic. If you eat vegan for a week or a month, Veganuary, going vegan for the month of January, they have recipes that can help. It doesn't have to be January to get the recipes.
I’m not a vegan, but I whip up a vegan breakfast from time to time. I love Just Egg. I wish they sold it in 1-gallon jugs. I recommend Violife cheddar cheese slices and Beyond Spicy Breakfast Patties! Sprouts has all of these goodies.
I am not vegan but let me tell you about the sage and onion vegan sausages from Aldi!!! Not sure is they have them outside the UK but they super tasty and you get six for around £1!!!!
I'm so used to eating vegan that I don't consider my meals and snacks "vegan food", to me its just food. I personally think it's so much cheaper to eat this way, especially if you don't use meat substitutes. Chickpeas, tofu, rice, beans, lentils, etc. take on whatever flavor you want - I've learned so much about spices and seasoning since being vegan! Also if you eat tofu with any regularity, a good tofu press is worth its weight it gold. I would love to see you try a week of eating this way! 🖤
I’ve been pescatarian since May and I feel so much better! Food is lighter now where meat was so heavy. Can’t wait to get my blood work done and see if there is a significant difference….
Really enjoyed this! I’m so used to paying more because I have food allergies to egg, treenuts, peanuts and I’m lactose intolerant. The food world takes advantage of us and I think marks it up wayyyy too much even considering the extra cost of sourcing different ingredients. A lot of times it’s still junk food vegan stuff and it’s just paying for it to be “vegan” but I don’t have a choice.
I neeeeeedddd to find that cupcake! Lol. I have to be gluten free and I contemplate vegan regularly. My biggest issue is I live in a rural Texas town so eating out is already a struggle as everything is deep fried and cooked with bacon (I don’t eat pork or beef). The biggest struggle for dairy free is the cheese I have yet to find an absolutely great vegan cheese. I do like the just egg and beyond products.
I'd love to see you do this for a week or 30 days. To be honest the best vegan food is food that is naturally vegan, the alternatives are good when you're craving the stuff but I wouldn't recommend them for the best vegan experience! :)
I'm all for eating raw cookie dough, but the raw flour is at least as big a danger as raw egg (some people say flour is worse; I haven't looked into it enough to make a definitive statement).
See, no biggie. I’ve been a vegan since January of this year. I was one on and off again for a few years, the first for a cleanse, the second because I wanted to reduce the estrogens in my system due to possibly having an estrogenic cancerous tumor, and after that second time having noticed my acne went away, years later in my mid 30s I decided to go back to being one again as I still had acne as I had as a teenager and this is how I got to where I am now. I always eat vegan. I’d rather drink a soda that grab a turkey sandwich because then I won’t have an any acne. It’s not easy, but I cook and bake for non vegans and because my health benefits so much from veganism, it doesn’t matter. I don’t crave the actual protein macronutrient just because I want the food sometimes. I’m hungry and want the sensual mouth experience.
Just thought I would mention, the danger with cookie dough is actually the raw flour. But mean.....I've been eating it all my life just like everyone else sooo...🙄😁😎☺️ And those snacks are friggin expensive! And your dinner looked bomb. Great job 👍👍👌
This was a great video! It would be cool if you ate gluten-free for 3 days or a week. For an added challenge, try to spend certain amount like $30-$50 limit per day (gluten-free is not cheap).
would love to see you eat vegan for a week or month I've been vegan for a very long time. I t would be interesting to see what you eat and how you feel health wise.
Have you heard of stripples? It's vegan bacon! I prefer the vegan bacon over vegan sausage. I'm not vegan at all but the hospital I work at is a meatless organization so I get introduced to some interesting things. I did two weeks eating vegan as a challenge for myself to understand the lifestyle and BOY WAS IT TOUGH! It's definitely a hard adjustment on the digestive system. 😟
Yooooooo I thought you and Morgan Green were the same person. I literally had to do a double take🤦🏽♀️😂. Tell me why I was so confused trying to find her videos on your page and yours on hers
I would try vegan for a day but the meat substitutes I’ve tried so far haven’t been for me unfortunately:/ I’ll still always try something new though because tastes change! Meanwhile, I’m munching on the vegan nacho cheese dip from Trader Joe’s as we speak 😋 this stuff is soooo good
if you're not a fan of the meat substitutes there are plenty of vegan meals that don't use them (: for protein you can use beans, chickpeas, lentils etc. It's really all about the preparation, as long as it's well seasoned and cooked it'll be delicious even without meat/meat substitutes.
YES! please go vegan for a longer period! im also really glad you mentioned that it doesnt have to be expensive, i've been vegan for 10 years now and you can never go wrong with a rice, tofu and veggie bowl that doesnt cost a lot at all! also you should def try the just egg egg patty things, they're SO GOOD.
@@atCatLeigh i enjoy eating meat .. i tried to be a vegan for a while and I hated the taste of the substitutes because I'm a sucker for eggs and meats .. thus I didn't like this life style .. also I'm a Muslim so the way we treat animals is good, that's why we always look for "Halal" food because we know that the animal isn't tutored to death
@@atCatLeigh kind of a snarky reply to Fatima. No need to be defensive. Diet and what works best for ourselves is highly personal. There are pros and cons to both lifestyles including the impact on our planet.
You'd think most potato chips are vegan but they actually are not... I went on a vegan stint for a few months and the only chips I could eat were just certain tortilla chips, for some reason almost every chip seems to have buttermilk in it 🙃 like I would get the ones that are like cheese flavored aren't vegan but like even ones where you're like oh BBQ or Pringles or something like that... nope not vegan at all 😅 probably just all the processing
I went vegetarian when I was in 8th grade. This was before the internet and my 14 year old self didn't know that gelatin was a beef product. My intentions were good, but execution was iffy.
I’ve been veg for 14 years and there’s a lot of processed vegan products that I don’t like because the execution of the product sucked. But I also wanted to mention that it can be very inexpensive to eat vegan. However, I LOVE the Beyond meat products, and Follow Your Heart and Kite Hill have some of the best non-dairy cheeses and other products.
hey just so you know the part of raw cookie dough that you're actually supposed to worry about is the raw flour not the raw egg 😅 but don't worry either way you'll be fine
Loved this! Would definitely be interested in a “eating like a vegan for a week” video!

I don't think that I'd ever go vegan but I'm definitely looking into limiting my dairy intake and using vegan alternatives here and there
the morning star sausage is also really good!

I love the Siete brand! Their taco shells are the best and so crispy.
I absolutely LOVE your vlogs. I will definitely continue to watch them 😊
I missed your food challenges, so definitely go for the vegan week challenge, Mediterranean diet challenge - stuff like that!
I love all that on the sandwich! Those croissants are dangerous! Season up that Just Egg and it's really good!

I was under the impression that white sugar is NOT vegan.🤔
Oooh why would that be the case? Just curious
Some white sugar is processed through bone char. It’s hard to know if it’s vegan or not since most packages don’t state it
Now go a month ;)
