I am loving these new echos! I am always super surprised at what the factory squish is. They really open up when ported though it’s amazing how much power can be gained on them
Hey Richard, I would love to see you do a video on tuning a chainsaw carb. I haven't found a single video that explains all 3 adjustments properly. I get what the high adjustment does, I get what the idle adjustment does. But how does the low factor in? And tuning in the cut is tricky. Or do you just tune the high with an RPM meter and call it a day? You could be of great help.
You should also look at "vintage engine repairs" video about the official Stihl carb adjustment method. There is also another video with a large 3d printed carb that shows you how it works also. I can't remember the name of it.
Yeah, tuning can be a touchy subject. After years, I'm confident and comfortable in my 2t and conventional 4 stroke tuning abilities. 4-mix had me at first as I was a little nervous to actually tune it like a 4 stroke!
My 2511 was so rich it was pushing oil out the muffler. Dealer said it should be right. They did say I could adjust within the range of the limiters without hurting the warranty. I only did a little and it helped, but if i was braver, I think it would help more.
@@REDLINERUNNER It's not just Echo sending units out the door without properly tuning them. On the other hand, this could have been bought online? I'll have to ask him when he picks it up.
@@REDLINERUNNER I don't think Echo is junk at all. It's a great saw and I would buy it again. I don't mind the initial rich setting for a break-in, but I think the dealers should do an adjustment once for no charge when if the customer brings it in after a break-in.
@@richardflagg3084 All my 3 Stihl machines came PERFECTLY tuned from factory... MS230 (2005), MS311 (bought last year), FS120 (2016) and as I use Castrol POWER1 Racing 2T and MIX it 2% my machines run perfectly, absolutely no smoke at all and spark plugs are light grey. Somebody would read these plugs as running too hot, but deffinetley not. All my machines run perfect and all of them can be lifted by starter rope hot or cold...
Hey Richard boy they are just a little hand full once you get to the motor it's self. You should have been a mechanics teacher would have did better in school 😊

Really appreciate your videos, I’m just a tinker talking to you from Central Florida
Rich those are nice little buggers. 😊😊😊😊
Those echo's are a monster to start when theyre brandy-new dry saws
The Egan pipe really woke my 2511 up. It‘s not any louder than a modified muffler.
How do I get a hold of you about saws?
Please do a tuning video utilizing a tach.

A pretty good video on what low does. ruclips.net/video/tLDvdcPrC4M/видео.htmlsi=g3SECZfqBC46SB9S
You need to learn how to search for video better. There are so many videos out there.

Would've loved to see the before. Great job👍🏻 hopefully it's owner takes a little better care of it now🤞🏻

See what junk Echo is? They can't even adjust carburettor..

Why don't you use tacho to adjust??
Rpm is technically irrelevant, and even more so on a ported saw since they take higher rpms
