A few years ago I checked-in in a hotel in Zagreb and saw a picture and a letter from Fischer. Besides the picture there were pictures of many celebrities. I asked the front desk man why Fischer's picture was there and he showed me a book with the autographs of all the player of the tournament you are analyzing! Dear Agadmator, I am a refugee in usa, I knew how to play chess but not so good. Thank you to your RUclips videos, I have learned the game better, yesterday I beat a FIDE master in a 3 min blitz game and on an average I make $50 per day to playing chess. Just want to thank you
It’s amazing how agadmator reveals all the different lines that would end the game on the spot basically from move 6 and nearly ever move onwards, because by demonstrating the threats that the GMs end up averting by the narrowest of margins he really shows how these games are sculptures created from the same marble as all of our own games but we don’t always see the depth cause most lower level players probably would’ve fallen for the last 20 continuations and traps that DIDN’T happen in the game analyzed because they were spotted and defended. The eventual final masterpiece of pieces on the board is a sculpture we simply don’t have the vision to see yet but it’s clear that they are simply chiseling away getting neater and neater, perfecting the edges and curves until the both sides have made sculpture so damn perfect it usually gets draws or magic. The moral of the story is agadmator’s analysis showcases not only why the games immortal but how they evolve from such natural and seemingly mundane openings that every player tends to encounter
Whenever I see a Smyslov games, the subtle manuevers are so intresting to watch. Also, he played for a very long time, and played many different generations.
Oh my goodness! Smyslov went from having a decision advantage, to having a losing position in one move! Excellent title! Tal really did steal that game. I don't feel so bad now about my play at 3/3 blitz :)

Hey! Would you mind if I played your videos at my local chess club? I’m just a student rated 1200, but I foolishly started a club to teach chess, and your videos seem to help us a lot. So it’d be great if I could dude!
Tal's moves are so challenging. The ticking clock was his best friend. Smyslov played a great game and created scenarios where he could have fought for a draw or even a win. Tal seemed blessed by the chess Gods with an ability to see the board like no one else , even RJF.
i watch and personally download every video of the game that you upload and I now see tactics on the board which I would have a lot of problem earlier....
The G rook to G6 appears to also stop the attack at the end. Please Agad can you tell me why that would not work? If white used the bishop to attack the rook by f7 blacks other rook could pin the white bishop against the white queen. If the bishop went to e4 ...that would cause trouble...I am not sure what would be best for black then...I am sure you Agad can tell me why I am wrong...right???
but at 15:00 - surely after white plays Rf7, the game continues? As in, it isn't lost for white by any means, it seems. Black has to give up the queen i think - then it looks rather messy, but white's attack is still going, it seems, though i can't find a breakthrough.
At 11:18 , if 39.... Be5:d6 , I found (by pausing the video and calculating on the board of the video) 40.Rh6:d6 Rd8:d6 41.Rf1-f8+ Rg7-g8 42.Rf8:g8# (due to Bd5 the g8 is controlled by white)
At 14:35 What if you do QB6 or QB8? If white plays the same, after BxG8 black can checkmate by QB1 Genuinely curious on what white would do in that situation.... seems it would be just fine as well
haha, I think in addition to possibly being in time trouble Smyslov may have failed to find the Qd7 defence because he was so terrified of the incessant attacks!! Tal was such a master of initiative!
And @12:28, in case Tal captures black queen at d7, what stops Smyslov from playing Bxd7? Why should the black bishop on the light square allow the white bishop on the light square go unpunished? go One rook vs 2 bishops end-game (Here also)
Hello Antonio, I think your sessions are priceless and I want to thank you for that. As you're analysing, what on 14:58 after ..:Rg8; Qe7:QxQ (forced, otherwise mate) d6xe7:Re8;BxRg8:...?

05:58 can you analyze what could happen when he defends the E1 goes E8 move by simply playing B7 captures d5 and guarding g8 from check? Then he could also defend with Queen c2 to c8 and preventing from check, or do I have a mistake? 😊
At the end, I found that Bishop F5 would have put a definite cork in Tal's attack. Or what do you think? Is there some outrageous sacrifice line that I'm not seeing?
When someone signs a photo and writes over a person, it is traditionally that same person signing. You suggest the signature might be the photographer, maybe. But since it is on Smyslov, my guess it is Smylovs signature.
Thanks Antonio, bu I think you miscalculated something in your analysis. Why wouldn't black capture the bishop on d7 instead of playing bishop to d3 as you suggested at 12.35? Because after capturing d7, black also wins a rook as there is no way to defend both of the rooks. Ok, then white can capture black's bishop and black now has a bishop and an extra pawn against white's rook and it looks kind of equal I think. Am I wrong?
What about Qb6 in the critical position not allowing the rook to move from the 1st rank as Qb1 will be checkmate....doesn't that stop Tal's idea as well?

around 15 mins in, after QF8, RG8, wouldn't the Tal move instead be QE7 ( which also seems pretty good for white ) ?

mister_MG257 Itachi Then queen captures bishop
The photo can't be from this game, as the board has the black pawn on c6 and Smyslov played c5.
What about Qb6 in the critical position not allowing the rook to move from the 1st rank as Qb1 will be checkmate....doesn't that stop Tal's idea as well?
This picture is obviously not from this game. The pawn is on c6 (look at the overhead board as well).
"... there is this tension betweeen the light square bishops" idk why I found this funny😆
At 9:14 why not Rf8 by white?
Can you show the match you played against Ding Liren if you still have it please
