Thank you for Agadmator for reignite my interest on chess 2 yeaes ago. And I am really grateful, through you, I get to know the deep, rich lore of chess history. I get to know the people and the player in it. I get to know legends like Tal, Capa, Alekhine, Nezhmedinov, and Morphy. With heavy heart I must say that I failed to introduce my child to chess, but at least, now, when my life seems bleak, I have chess to turn to although I am terrible at this.
Looks like those were instances of "square slip" at the most inopportune moment, akin to today's online mouse slips..Hats off to these incredible legends.
SUGGESTION. Hi Agadmator. Can you show us the games she plays with Benny Watts? There is the first game where she losses and then there is the second game where she learns from her mistakes and beats him. That would be an interesting comparison. Considering the vast number of recorded games we now have, what do you suppose is the average number of moves before Agadmator can say, "It is is this position we have a completely new game."?
I think there is a wonferful opportunity for white at 11:50 by bishop captures on d5 and if pawn captures bishop then simply rook captures on e8 with check and white is up a pawn and white has many attacking options after king moves from check but of course Tal did not play rook to f3

@@panda4247 The more I look at it, the more I think he could only have meant to play c3. Because after c4, not only is dxc4 winning on the spot, but so is bxc4. Agadmator is right that d4 is losing, but it seems crazy to say someone would play d4 in response to c4 in that position. I was thinking maybe if Nezh's hand was shaking too much, he should have gone for kf3, but he'd probably accidentally play kf2 and lose it that way. :P

With heavy heart I must say that I failed to introduce my child to chess, but at least, now, when my life seems bleak, I have chess to turn to although I am terrible at this.

If there's something I've learned from chess is that everyone makes errors regardless of the level of expertise.
I think there is a wonferful opportunity for white at 11:50 by bishop captures on d5 and if pawn captures bishop then simply rook captures on e8 with check and white is up a pawn and white has many attacking options after king moves from check but of course Tal did not play rook to f3
