- Best French Netflix shows to learn French in 2020. One of the easiest and cheapest ways to improve your listening skills is to binge-watch French TV shows. By watching French TV series on Netflix you are relaxing and working at the same time. Indeed, you are being exposed to French and consequently develop better listening skills in French while improving your vocabulary. I made a selection of 6 French shows that you can watch on Netflix. Which one is your favorite?

I like watching French shows with French subtitles to get used to seeing the words and listen to the pronunciation at the same time
I very highly recommend "The Circle: France" its a funny competition show with simple vocabulary spoken at a natural pace

This is fantastic!!! I thought to look for french shows or movies but then quickly realized i have no idea. So i started watching Barbarians with french audio and english subtitles.

A film called "nothing to hide" is also good. If you dont have time for the whole series, you can try this one.

My first foray in French series was Les Revenants. It was years ago but I really liked that show too (and am not even a fan of zombie stuff haha)
Recently, I've seen Le Bureau Des Legendes, a spy thriller. Also very good, highly recommend 👍🏼

I recently saw the newest Nov. 6th special COVID episode for Plan Coeur aka The Hookup Plan, and I was surprised to hear the character Elsa use the phrase “OK Boomer” ! 😂 Like what? I had no idea it’d made it over there as a phrase haha, that was really funny. But Call My Agent is definitely my favorite, I’ve learned so much from that one, especially because it was so contemporary. Also, I watched that Ulliel show too, and purely because he’s the main character 😂. I did learn a cultural thing from it though! He does la bise with another guy friend and that was quite shocking for me, I didn’t expect guys to do so lol. I’m constantly shocked by how much I don’t know 🙈

I was alert and kept in suspence the whole time which made it easier to learn French without getting bored or drifting off.

je regarde '' groom '' sur youtube et c'est vraiment marrant franchement, il y a deux saisons, chaque a dix épisodes. ouais je l'adore mais c'est un peu triste parce que c'est pas fini.

Have you listened to Quebecois? Have you met French-Canadians in Australia? When you were in the States did you hear Cajun or visit New Orleans? Did you try Cajun cuisine? How different is Haitian from standard French? Are your parents emigre or habitant? Are the French taught any history regards the Western Hemisphere in Grammar and Secondary School? Have you heard of Josephine Baker? What is your Master's Degree in?
I loved Plan Cœur. Very refreshing for a French series. It was great seeing a woman of color as the protagonist 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I’ve never seen such an awkward French woman though. I thought “really? That exists?” lol Of course, it must exist, but to me even the most “bordélique” French woman seems pretty put together.
