Excel - Insert a blank row after every row or every Nth row

- Do you ever need to add blank rows in between rows? There are several ways to do this in Excel, but if you have a lot of data, right-clicking and inserting rows becomes tedious. We will use a helper column to quickly add blank rows after every row. We will also look at inserting a blank row after every 3rd row or every Nth row.

This was a great review and i can not believe i never thought of this. This became very handy as I have to do a lot of data loads into our ERP system and the way they built the integration load is if the same item has multiple suppliers attached to it, they each get their own row. so when I am loading hundreds of them, it is easier to have the space between them all rather then adding it when it is needed.

That's exactly the information I needed, thank you! REASON FOR A BLANK ROW: I have to insert a Document number from a table given in Word. Document number in Word are lined up in a column and they do not have a space in-between. How can I do this, please help.

Nice solution! I've used a helper column with alpha and numeric characters then Paste Special but basically the same principle.

Nice solution to the problem. I just hope never to see a dataset with every alternate row as a blank though I am sure someone will use this trick to make their data look "pretty" and "nicely spaced" :D

I work for a small business and we use excel to actually “program” spreadsheets to help us move inventory around and do all the math, but I do have to make things look pretty to facilitate ease of use for my employees. I need to insert a row after each 10000 entries , i m in logistics, so i have to do this every day, what i do is first put number on the right side then copy paste 1 to 10000 , upto the last data , then search for 10000 , then select the entire row below 10000 by control shift space , then control shift+ for adding row , then again do this for the next 10000 entries, for 3 to 4 lakh load i have to do this same process for 30 to 40 times, help me with this please
